Mary Kay Letourneau, the elementary school teacher convicted of childrape in 1997 after being impregnated by her sixth grade student (right), is nowhosting a “Hot for Teacher” night at a Seattle bar. Her former victimand now husband will be the DJ at the event which happens this Saturday.

LeTourneau served time in prison after being caught having sex withthen 12-year old student Vili Fualaau. In 1997 police arrestedLetourneau, who was 34 at the time, while she was pregnant withFualaau’s first child. She served 6 months of a 7 year sentence only toget caught having sex with Fualaau just weeks after her release. Fiveyears later she finally got out prison. The two were married a shorttime later. They laid low for a few years, but now, Fualaau is back inthe spotlight as he launches what is turning into a budding career as aDJ.
“I think it’s ridiculous that this is happening. I mean they arebenefiting and profiting from all of this and it’s just outrageous,”said one person who heard about the event.

The bar’s owner tells Q13 FOX News that he realizes LeTourneau is aconvicted rapist but he is defending the event saying that is all in”good fun.” Mike Morris owner of Fuel says that LeTourneau has done thetime and it’s time to move on. “They lived it and they also paid forit,” says Morris. “People can look at it the wrong way, but we’re doingit for fun. And because she served her time and her sentence and sherealizes what she did was wrong, but now she’s just trying to live herlife.”
