If Republicans Were Serious

Unless a Republican suggests dismantling the Civil Rights act and its sequellae, I know he either doesn’t understand what is needed, or isn’t serious about his campaign promises.

The enemies of freedom are fond of naming things the opposite of what they are. A great example is the Patriot Act, which had nothing to do with patriotism, and everything to do with setting up a nationwide surveillance infrastructure, secret courts, and extraordinary rendition. Any actual patriot could point out that the entire fiasco violates the Bill of Rights in numerous ways.

The same applies to the Civil Rights Act and its numerous amendments. Rather than securing the original rights recognized and guaranteed by the Bill of Rights, it serves to erode them.

Natural rights — those codified in the Bill of Rights for example — impose only a negative obligation on others AND explicitly limit the powers of government to infringe your rights.

By “negative obligation” I mean that your natural rights cost nobody anything, and force nobody else to do anything. All they are required to do is leave you the hell alone.

Read through the Bill of Rights, and you will see this pattern. These are all things that government will NOT do. Your rights are not GRANTED but are rather RECOGNIZED as pre-existing government.

The concept is that these are rights that are inherent in Man, and a necessity for his fulfilling of the capacities that separate him from beasts. They are understood to create the underlying preconditions for one to fulfill his personhood.

CIVIL rights are an entirely different animal. Civil rights are prerogatives and privileges delegated by government and that can absolutely be provided to one group at the expense of another.

Civil rights come with a price tag attached, complete with bureaucracies, NGOs and so forth to deliver them, and hefty taxation to fund them.

If you want to know why every corporation now has a “diversity officer” and why it is not only LEGAL but often REQUIRED to discriminate against White people in employment and education — look no further than the Civil Rights Act and its amendments. This one act of Congress has served to create a situation where academia and every corporation is layered with useless people who collect a paycheck for no real reason beyond the fact that they support the regime.

The Civil Rights Act is a cornerstone of how the current regime rewards its friends, and punishes its enemies.

The Civil Rights Act effectively created two different Americas — an America for those that it “prefers” and an America for everyone else. And these two Americas have dramatically different treatment under law.

The Civil Rights Act created the professional classes of do-nothings that run around and give mandatory struggle session training to teach white people that they are evil for merely being born.

Basically — Civil Rights have absolutely DESTROYED Natural Rights.

If Republicans (or anyone else) were serious about taking on the regime, they would start with attacking the Civil Rights Act, and re-classifying large swathes of the bureaucracy as employees-at-will.
