New Battle for Britain in Full Swing!

Leaflets out, Broadcast Let Loose, Adverts Everywhere

by BNP News
Special report by Nick Griffin

There’s never been a British Nationalist campaign like it! With less than two weeks left until our D-Day, the BNP’s push for power is in full swing. Not least because I may lack the time to give credit where it is due after the event, now is a great time to take stock of what, together, we have already achieved, and to thank just some of those whose efforts above and beyond the call of duty have made it all possible.

While we are now chasing what seem to be isolated pockets of non-delivery (if by chance you haven’t had your copy of our election address, please fill in the form you’ll find by clicking on the non-delivery report section of our masthead), it is clear that the vast majority of our 29 million leaflets have been safely delivered. Most of those arrived just a couple of days before the ballot papers themselves dropped on the mats of the huge number of electors with postal votes. While I’ve yet to see what leaflets the Labour Party are putting out, I can honestly say that the Tory, Green and LibDem offerings are dire, and that UKIP’s efforts are proof in themselves that their MEPs have trousered the money they pledged to donate to their party.

Ours, by contrast, are superb, and the absurd artificial media fuss about models on stock photos has merely added to their impact. So many thanks to Mark Collett for his sterling efforts on design and Post Office liaison work. The best way to show your appreciation, by the way, is to contact your local organiser today and volunteer to help distribute the bulk supplies of our extra final leaflet, ‘Punish the Pigs’ – it’s a classic and fits the public mood to perfection.

Once again, we should remember the huge debt we owe to the one hundred volunteers who gave up so much time to break down and repackage every last box of leaflets. Some eighty tons of paper were handled in all in the huge mid-Wales depot, amid good humour, high spirits and true BNP determination.

Thanks to all, but especially to Bill Murray, who managed the breakdown team on one side of the works (who used an incredible 160,000 elastic bands in bundling the A5 leaflets) and to Richard Lumby and Richard the Engineer who ran things on the labelling and dispatch side. And, on behalf of all the helpers, a big note of appreciation to Dave Bell of the RWB Planning Team for all the cooking, cups of tea and for rationing the Mars Bars. An army marches on its stomach, and Dave made sure that ours marched on until the job was done.

Best broadcast?

The reaction to our main Euro Election broadcast (shown for the first time tonight to the very limited audience of Channel 5 viewers and Scotland) has been hugely positive. “The best PPB we’ve ever put out. Absolutely brilliant” said the very first text in a small blizzard of similar enthusiastic messages which hit my phone within a few minutes of it going out. It will create a real buzz among the public when it’s shown much more widely on Tuesday. I’m sure that Derek Dawson and the others who’ve done so much to build BNPtv will appreciate seeing where their efforts have helped to bring us.

No one who hasn’t had to produce one of these broadcasts can have any idea of how difficult they are. It’s not just the absolutely rigid time limit, there are also incredibly strict requirements in terms of having to be able to prove any and every assertion made, images that may and may not be used, and information that has to appear with things such as phone numbers.

Frankly it’s a nightmare, so thanks here to Jim Dowson and Paul Golding for doing so much to polish my script for it, and to Tony Avery for his patience in editing and re-editing to such frighteningly tight deadlines – especially when we decided that we just had to cut out something so as to top and tail the whole thing with a direct attack on the other parties over their expenses shame.

Our money’s as good as anyone’s!

Over the last couple of days, huge BNP billboards have excited enormous interest wherever they’ve appeared – and even more where they have disappeared!

Simultaneously, waves of local press adverts are adding to the justified impression that the BNP has come of age, not just in terms of having the money to compete in the big league, but also in being accepted by major companies as “just another client.”

In our use of adverts and video clips on the websites of huge numbers of local newspapers, we have stolen a march on all the other parties. That, and all the other advertising operations, just wouldn’t have happened without the professionalism of Emma Colgate.

In the final stage of the campaign our huge faxes to small businesses drive will compliment a direct mail approach to 30,000 publicans (explaining how we’d stand up for the hard-pressed institution of the British pub, and recognise it as the backbone of our communities). This was just one of a huge number of extras that Jim Dowson threw in on top of all his other super-human efforts.

Fighting back against the smears

As the campaign goes on, the smears and lies of the opposition have become ever more desperate and wicked. The brutal exploitation in a bogus “BNP’ leaflet of a still unburied Ghurkha war hero by a gang of Marxist thugs financed by Labour councils with taxpayers’ money, was matched in cynicism only by The Sun’s disgusting headlines falsely blaming the BNP, and refusing to publish a correction.

It is one of the two most despicable smears I have seen in my political life, though I wouldn’t be surprised to see some more before June 4th. But an incredible joint effort by our Press Officers Simon Darby and John Walker, web team Arthur Kemp and Simon Bennett, Lee Barnes on the legal front and Paul Golding’s Fightback team – and everyone out there who so regularly answer Paul’s calls to cyber-arms – killed the lie stone dead in less than 24 hours.

The same people work literally morning, noon and night to handle other media attacks and opportunities. The lessons of years of experience have been merged with newly acquired expert advice and assistance to give us an in-depth defence capability that has so far in the campaign enabled us to shrug off smears that would have flattened any other party. We’ve taken a relentless battering, but true to the traditions of our island race we have weathered the storm and come back even stronger. We will never surrender to media lies.

Call centre – where public interest touches down

All this would be of no use if the huge wave of public sympathy and interest building up in the ether wasn’t brought down to BNP earth. The lightning conductor doing this with a professionalism and efficiency unparalleled in British politics is the call and telesales centre established by Jim Dowson and the Midas team.

The video clips of this operation released on this site over the last week or so can only give a glimpse of just how slick it really is – and cannot possibly convey the almost insanely steep learning curve and stress involved in setting it all up from scratch. Many thanks to all concerned.

We’re not in it for the money – but couldn’t do it without it

Needless to say, however, none of this incredible campaign would have been possible without the generosity of everyone who has responded to our relentless wave of appeals.

If our David fells as many Goliaths as we could well do on June 4th, then the unsung heroes and heroines will be the thousands who helped us to buy the organisational slingshots which have allowed us to wage such an effective political war against a united front of opponents whose superior funding is matched only by their willingness to stop at nothing.

I really am proud to be associated with all of you, thank you so much for your faith and commitment. So many supporters, members and especially activists have done so much. I am sorry that I cannot name and thank every single one of you personally, and apologise in advance to the many others who deserve mention here, but it is now gone one in the morning and I have to leave for Cumbria again in just a few hours time.

Whatever the result on June 4th, I can tell each and every reader that everyone in our central team has done their very best, and I know that everyone at the grassroots will be doing so as well in the final hectic week and a half of this epic campaign. No rest until June 4th! No let up until the votes are counted! We’ve got the crooks and traitors on the run. We have the tools, so now let’s finish the job!
