Another Victory for Equality

Needless to say, there’s a huge gap

Black and brown students don’t perform http://www.wvwnews.net/story.php?id=4065 such as the ACT and the SAT (or any test ever devised for that matter). This is a problem for those who claim all races are equal in every way, such as liberals and Christians and modern “conservatives.”. Not only is it embarrassing, because it keeps showing year after year what a lunatic fantasy equality is, but it also reveals what a huge injustice affirmative action is when the average scores of the black/brown students who are accepted are compared to the scores of white/Asian students. Needless to say, there’s a huge gap.

For years, embarrassed liberals and Christians and other equality chasers have tried to cover their embarrassment up by claiming that the tests are racially biased. I remember reading an article a few years ago by a civil rights activist on the racial bias of these standardized college exams. He gave an example of the “racial bias” black students face when taking these tests – in the section on reading comprehension, the test might present a few paragraphs on the life of Mozart with biographical details. The test taker would have to read the passage, and then answer several questions based on it. All the answers were in the reading passage; answering correctly required no previous knowledge of Mozart, classical music, European history, etc. The activist said this was “racist” because a lot of black kids haven’t heard of Mozart. Which, evidently, left them unable to comprehend anything they read. As I said, it’s idiotic. But equality is the main thing, and so colleges and universities have quietly begun dropping their requrements that applicants take either the SAT or the ACT. Until recently, few selective colleges had done so. But that’s changing.
