We have received word of elementary school students being injured and killed by what appears to have been a lone attacker.
There is nothing that can really be said about a loss and tragedy of this scope that can diminish its emotional impact.
No child should face such things, either here or elsewhere. A child is innocent and precious beyond measure. Attacking a child is as bad as it gets.
Our deepest sympathy goes to the bereaved and our prayers for the full recovery of the injured.
