L. Crane
At death, free me with ashes’ fiery key,
And plant my feet among my kinfolks’ graves;
My heart across our ancient homeland’s shore,
And cast the rest on ceaseless ocean waves;
So that my soul may dwell between the two,
Worlds Old and New, much as it did in life.
