Hope in the Sky: Thinking About our People

As we observe the fourth of July holiday this year, it seems fitting to revisit some lucid observations from our own Frank Roman. This excellent podcast from 2007 is still quite relevant and deserves a second look. Stay safe out there, and remember that the spirit of independence and freedom is still strong in our people, we need only purge the poison of the times and reclaim our destiny. For our posterity!

This past Fourth of July was like many others I can remember. A day off from work, firework stands popping up across the landscape, parades, family reunions, barbeques, classic car shows and so forth. This year the Roman compound had some visitors, complete with small children who couldn’t wait to see some fireworks.* So on the appointed night, in which the local municipality was to set off show off a huge display, we, along with hundreds of others in perfect synchronicity, went to the designated lakeside area to watch the sky explode. Once we found our spot and turned the children loose for a little while I settled back in the car seat and reflected on this day, the Fourth of July.

Of course, you already know where I’m going with this and you’re doubtless right; that today’s modern Americans could give a damn about the real meaning of an exploding sky on a humid night in July; in honor of what a group dead white guys brought to the world. Being an avid people watcher I observed tens of hundreds of my European American kinsmen going about their business and knew on an instinctive level that many had long ago forgotten what they were ’celebrating.’ I’m sure you saw it too.

The colonists of the original thirteen colonies were tired of the subjugation of Britain for years. They had to live in fear of the British soldiers who pretty much could have their way with them; they were under the arbitrary rule of King George III and his all seeing minions. They had to abide by laws which were blatantly unfair to them, and they groaned under an enormous tax burden. Their British kinsmen seemed to be getting richer overseas as they were getting poorer trying to survive in an unmapped land far from home. So they decided to do something about it by drafting and writing a Declaration of Independence, which would finally allow them to break from the rule of Britain, and give them their own government.

This Declaration states that a government should be run by the wishes of the people for the people rather than a dictator or monarchy. If this doesn’t happen, the people have the right to revolt; which as we know they eventually did and won.

But that was then. This is now.

Today, the tests for nationwide unity under our Constitution are harder than those the infant nation in 1787 had to deal with. The face of America in 2007 looks very different from the hardy European stock of settlers: no longer are we a people united by a common language, culture or shared experience; and while our material prosperity taken as a whole is awe-inspiring by the standards of history, the widening gap between the concepts of democracy and the “pursuit of happiness” continues to weaken our identity. And speaking of democracy, a term reserved for tones of hushed reverence by those who know better (and which does not appear anywhere in our founding documents) the founding fathers abhorred democracy as a terrible system that would allow the best and brightest – who are always fewest in number – to be officially dominated by mob rule. On top of that tens of millions of Americans have been turned-off by the undignified effects of money on the political system. For example, bombarded with harmful publicity about their political candidates, our people put across their feelings of alienation by remaining uninterested in their nation and their world and instead have sought to fill that void by, among other things, mindless hive-like consumerism and entertainment.

We had about an hour and a half to go before “show time” and I took a few moments to actually look at the people in my surroundings. While many appeared to be salt of the earth kind of folks, blue collar men, housewives, girlfriends, boyfriends, extended families and so forth I couldn’t help but notice a few other kinds of groups. I noted a high number of young people drinking in a clearly marked no alcohol zone. Now I’m no prude on this issue but it seemed to me that this fireworks gathering was just another excuse to socialize and drink among a high number of people; nothing more. A few of these people nearby looked like brain washed white youth who emulate ghetto thugs. Behind me I noted two SUV’s disgorging their occupants: a large contingency of trashy looking white girls and their swaggering mestizo boyfriends. As expected baby strollers began to appear and I counted no less than four biracial children. Anchor babies, I thought. WIC, section 8 housing, earned income tax credits, affirmative action, under the table (low) wages, you name it and I’m all but convinced these ’Americans’ are the recipients of altruistic programs which were originally put into place to help our own kind who truly needed help, but in a different kind of America long ago. And in an almost reflexive manner, I thought about the soldiers overseas in that meat grinder called Iraq, the ones so many neoconservatives like to say are ‘defending our freedom. Is this the kind of freedom they have in mind, the genetic demise of our people through abused social services and open borders? Did the white Americans I was in the midst of think nothing of the fact that their tax contributions and retail dollars actually go to fund explicitly racial organizations such as MALDEF and LaRaza but they curse the mere existence of groups like European Americans United who operate independently of government and corporate largess but with the same corresponding racial goals. I wondered if these white Americans were aware of the fact that they are the true minority in the world; that the European lands of their ancestors are being flooded with inassimilable nonwhites; that huge faceless bureaucracies are planning the further demise of their meager descendants with abominations like the impending North American Union. Would they even care?

Had they ever learned about, let alone try to explain, the relative suddenness of millions of fanatical Muslims overtaking Europe and millions of primitive Mestizos claiming nearly half of the United States as their own? If I were to ask I wondered what portion of the throng before me knew who their congressman and senators were, or if they’d ever bothered to contact them; knowing full well they’d recognize who Anna Nicole Smith and Paris Hilton are. I wondered if they looked at the war in Iraq as little more than a sporting event with “our guys” trying to score more points than the “bad guys.” Finally, the fireworks display began. All eyes went skyward, the throng before me transfixed as the night sky exploded with color and boiled with thunder, the faces of my kinsmen illuminated by the overwhelming maelstrom of sound and fury overhead. Everyone’s attention was focused above the dark water, in all probability with but the foggiest of notions about the real meaning of what our ancestors did over 200 years ago on Independence Day. As a matter of fact you can be sure a high number of people in 1776 liked things just the way were with Britain and fought tooth and nail to prevent the establishment of a new nation. And in that regard ladies and gentlemen, I want to tell you in spite of a tendency for yours truly to wax cynical I am utterly convinced we are going to rise above the internal struggle over the very meaning of Western civilization and reject the multicultural sickness that grips our nation. A growing number of people are continuing to realize that partisanship, the left versus the right, political correctness and the like has helped pave the way for a so-called “democracy” where money and media rules and votes are meaningless and righteous anger has been building; and perhaps that change is occurring in some of the very people around me that night. For a long time now I have sensed the recognizable beginnings of an attachment among our own kind, a realization that our so-called leaders do not represent our interests and there are remedies we can take –and follow– to their forgone conclusions, as long as we have the will. I consider this phenomona to be a shared experience similar to what the authors of the Declaration of Independence lived with.

The recent rejection of the amnesty bill for millions of mestizos was shot down in flames due to the direct engagement of a vast number of European Americans. The sudden revelation upon the American consciousness by a handful of activists who exposed the media’s habitual anti white bias, demonstrated by concealing the horrific deaths of Channon Christian and Chris Newsom at the hands of five black lunatics. The Fair Tax, a movement growing by leaps and bounds each day committed to throwing off the oppressive yoke of the Federal Reserve / IRS system of taxation. We are witnessing the rise of a true patriot, Dr. Ron Paul of Texas, who has modeled himself after the Founding Fathers and who wants to be your president. Honestly, here we are the descendants of the pioneers, the Vikings, the Romans, the Celts; the prodigy of the finest inventors and intellectuals the world has ever known. Is it any wonder these positive developments are being spearheaded by an overwhelming majority of European Americans? Yes, we still have a long way to go but the snowballing effects of the current two party pretenses in Washington, the reduction of man into a purely economic or materialistic sense, the ongoing enforcement and failure of multiculturalism and its bastard child political correctness is finally waking the nation. And really, if things don’t change I fear we if not our descendants may have to face an uncertain and dangerous future complete with an even worse form of utterly naked governmental oppression than we see today, violence and dispossession on a scale of unlimited magnitude. I want you to consider what will come unless and until the Constitution is fully restored as it was intended on behalf of our people, because the alternative form of rule may become a necessary blowback for public apathy. Need I remind you what the people of our fledgling nation had to do once they proclaimed their independence from Britain? Need I even remind you what has become of Britain herself today with its embrace and acceptance of the Third World, degeneracy and political correctness?

Even though some misguided souls believe for the sake of “tolerance” that the White West’s downfall is deserved, if not past due, we at European Americans United understand only too well the decline of the White population and its historical influence to minority status can only result in anarchy, vice, and ineptitude greater than America has ever known before, and we are not about to stay home and simply let it happen. Certainly we are not a perfect people but history has proven that our kind sets the standard for other civilizations to emulate, and that alone is reason enough to celebrate who we are. It won’t take many of us to accomplish this, just like it didn’t take a vast number of people to change history at our nations beginning; but only when we become a proud European derived nation again such as the one envisioned on July 4 1776 will we make the necessary changes to our society and our children’s future in a very short period of time. No longer are we a battered and empty-handed people. Join us.
