The Issue That Will Not Die

Whether or not Barack Obama is a “natural born” American citizen is an issue that will not go away and now there is more wood on the fire.

World Net Daily’s website has two official looking letters with Mr. Obama’s signature claiming two different Hawaiian hospitals were his place of birth.  Every mother, elementary school teacher and beat cop know if the story changes lies have been told.  If these two letters are authentic it would appear Mr. Obama trapped himself.  This is now between World Net Daily and the White House which is utterly unresponsive on this matter.

Nearly two dozen lawsuits have been filed on this issue and all have made the same request for the “long form” Hawaiian birth certificate.  In response the Obama campaign refused, but put a short form Hawaiian birth certificate on their website.  This legal document is normally given to people in transit, who may or may not be citizens, but have infant children that are undocumented.  The short form in essence says, “This is a human infant,” but does not include the name of the hospital, address of the birthplace and name of the attending physician.  The Obama campaign claims the long form does exist and is under 24/7 armed guard in Hawaii, but why?

While a many of these suits are active a number have been dismissed “because the plaintiff does not have standing!”  The plaintiffs include a former Deputy Attorney General of Pennsylvania and a former candidate for the Presidency, Ambassador Alan Keyes, Ph.D.  Where all citizens are “equal in the eyes of the law” per the Constitution does “standing” mean?

Major Stefen F. Cook, a army reserve engineer to be deployed to Afghanistan questioned Mr. Obama’s authority on the birth issue bringing suit in a Florida Federal Court.  The U.S. Army rescinded his orders rather than present evidence of the legality of Mr. Obama’s tenure.  This says the White House is unable to prove Mr. Obama is a “natural born” American citizen.  Now we understand higher ranking military officers are filing such lawsuits.
