ACORN Facing Criminal Charges

Obama election supporters under the gun for voter fraud

The Nevada Attorney General and theSecretary of State have filed a criminal complaint against ACORN andtwo of its employees for compensating employees to register votersbased on a quota system.

ACORN, the Association of Community Organizations for Reform Now, has been under investigation for voter registration fraud.

“Thesepractices are clearly in violation of Nevada law. By structuringemployment and compensation around a quota system ACORN facilitatedvoter registration fraud in this state. Nevada will not tolerateviolations of the law by individuals nor will it allow corporations tohide behind or place blame on their employees when its training manualsclearly detail, condone and require illegal acts in performing the jobfor the corporation,” said Nevada Attorney General CatherineCortez-Masto.

ACORN spokesman Scott Levenson issueda statement stating that ACORN was a victim in this case and not avillain. “From the time ACORN first suspected that some of its employeeshad tried to defraud ACORN by turning in bogus forms, ACORN repeatedlycalled its suspicions to the attention of election officials andrequested that they investigate immediately.”

In SouthernNevada, authorities also uncovered evidence ACORN allowed correctionsinmates in transitional facilities to handle registration paperworkwhich is illegal.
