Tennessee Home Schoolers Need Your Help

Once again home schooled children, as well as church-related schools, are under assault.

The Tennessee Department of Education has declared that all home schooled children, and those whom have graduated from church-related schools, are not qualified to be employed into certain jobs, such as law enforcement, or even daycares. In fact, their diplomas are considered, as Executive Director Cindy Benefield states “not worth the paper they are printed on.” Governor Bredesen and Tim Webbs’ overview of these diplomas are that they are acceptable to an extent, but not acceptable for “certain types of employment.” Ironically, these excluded young adults are seen as academically capable of being accepted into colleges nationwide, and qualifies for the lottery scholarships. But some officials do not deem them as qualified to hold certain jobs.
