Subject: Howard Fineman smears the Welsh peoples

Good morning,

Your Senior Washington Correspondent Howard Fineman revealed more that he wanted to when he used “welsh” as a verb meaning “cheat” on the Chris Matthews Show this morning (6/1/08). It was a repulsive display of bigotry toward one of the five Celtic nations that has no place in our national discussion on race.

Good morning!

We object most strenuously to your use of “welsh” as a verb being “cheat” on Chris Matthews Show this morning. This shows either a lack of refinement and understanding about demeaning epithets, or a hatred toward the Welsh peoples.

We insist that you use “jew” as a verb in the next Chris Matthews Show meaning, perhaps, overly sharp bargaining or whatever it means to you.

Your remark was a nauseating display of bigotry and disgust.
