Russia Welcomes New President

Congratulations to Medvedev!

Dmitry Anatolyevich Medvedev has taken his oath of office as the new President of Russia. Medvedev now leads the single largest white population in the world, and his decisions will impact not only all of our people, but global politics as well.

At 42, President Medvedev is one of the world’s youngest leaders and is the youngest man to lead Russia since the Coronation of Czar Nicholas II in 1894. Medvedev brings with him academic and business experience, and was instrumental in enacting many of the reforms of President http://www.wvwnews.net/story.php?id=3506.

President Medvedev succeeds in the Kremlin his http://www.wvwnews.net/story.php?id=1250.

All of these gains were won in the face of astounding pressure. http://www.wvwnews.net/story.php?id=1003) and other special interests,  broke off former Soviet possessions in Russia’s near abroad as part of an effort to isolate Moscow.

Russia’s people responded to Putin’s program with enthusiasm, electing him to lead their nation twice. Constitutionally forced to stand aside, he tapped Medvedev as his successor. In the March 2, 2008 http://www.wvwnews.net/story.php?id=3247, Medvedev scored 70.28% of the vote, a scale of support no “Western leader” would dare dream of and an overwhelming vote of confidence in the Putin program and legacy.

Like Putin, Medvedev is not an ideologue but is the kind of technocrat necessary for long range success. His leadership is informed and aided by nationalist “New Right” theoreticians and activists like Aleksandr Dugin, and Medvedev has already declared that he will continue to work closely with Putin and his team as President.

President Medvedev’s tasks are enormous and won’t be easy. Like Putin, he will doubtless face agenda-driven attacks calling him a dictator (and worse). But those attacking Medvedev are the same kinds of people whose policies have led to chaos not only in Russia, but all across the Western world.
