In Response To ‘Oakland: When School Bullies Get ‘Out Of Hand’

The following letter was sent to San Francisco Chronicle reporter Nanette Asimov on behalf of the European Americans United Board of Directors.

Regarding the underhanded reporting of 7 year old Zachary Cataldo and the beatings he received at the hands of older black students:

Ms. Asimov;

We were shocked to read the account of Zachary Cataldo who suffered a number of felonious beatings at the hands of his “classmates.” Needless to say we are relieved to hear he is recovering.

However, we also noted that you as a journalist were remiss in your reporting duties. The Piedmont Avenue Elementary School is 71 percent black (with an incredibly violent history), an easily established detail. We are of the opinion that reporters like yourself are more than a bit squeamish to report on such figures, especially when a European derived child is assaulted by out of control young black criminals who will most likely mature into adult criminals.

While black students are hard enough on each other, we can only imagine how strongly race was a motivating factor on the physical attacks of this small boy, complete with vile slurs and crippling defamation. Of course, you made no effort to investigate or mention such a possibility as we’re sure the OUSD would have made life very difficult for you. Of course had the races in this story been reversed you would have cast all restraint to the winds and reported an equivalent narrative to something hysterical, like: ‘Neo-Nazi fifth graders exterminating defenseless black children in 2008.’

Trust us on this, Ms. Asimov, we’ve seen it before. (Photo)

Ironically, we now hear San Francisco Mayor Ron Dellums is in South Africa to accept an award for his important role in ending apartheid, which is to say he helped facilitate the slaughter of hundreds if not thousands of white Boer farmers at the hands of “liberated” black South Africans. Ironic, indeed.

The black criminals who attacked European American Zachary Cataldo are not “children,” or “some students” as you so misleadingly claim. They are the criminally-minded racial benefactors of cowardly “journalists” who perpetuate racial fantasy instead of racial reality…to the injury of parents and children like the Cataldos.

Very Truly;

Board of Directors,

European Americans United
