Prince Harry ‘Expendable’

Says ABC’s Chris Cuomo

On Monday’s “Good Morning America” show, “host” Chris Cuomo stated that Prince Harry of the UK “has been over in Afghanistan fighting because he’s expendable.” Henry Wales, popularly known as Prince Harry, is the son of Prince Charles and the late Princess Diana. He recently completed a tour of duty on the front lines in Afghanistan with the Blues and Royals Regiment. Cuomo’s line about Harry’s supposed “expendability” is a reference to the fact that Harry is third in line to the Throne, behind his father Charles and older brother William.

Cuomo’s fellow host Robin Roberts was reportedly shocked, asking, “What did you say?” Cuomo didn’t back down. “It’s true,” he said. “The reason that Harry is allowed to be in Afghanistan is because he’s not the heir to the throne. William’s not allowed to be there.”

What is hilarious is that Chris Cuomo is only allowed on TV because he himself is the “younger son” of “American royalty.” His father is Mario Cuomo, the Democratic Party luminary and rainmaker and long term Governor of New York. Little Chris Cuomo’s big brother is New York State Attorney General http://www.wvwnews.net/story.php?id=2940 Cuomo.Everyone knows that Chris Cuomo, with his vulpine looks and obvious below par intelligence is an affirmative action appointee riding the fame of his surname.

But unlike Prince Harry (and, for that matter, Princes William and Charles), Chris Cuomo’s military experience is zero.

In fact, few if any scions of the current “democratic” aristocracy have deigned to don a uniform. Neither of George W. Bush’s children have served the nation their own father shirked at the height of the Vietnam War, nor have any of the Cheney offspring, one of whom would be barred anyhow because of her sexual orientation.

Back in Merrie Olde England, former PM Tony Blair, who wholeheartedly signed on to sending Britain’s sons into Bush’s wars, grows old seeing his own children staying safely at home.
