Voter reports Ron Paul left off ballot

by MK in NY

Below is a link to my personal account of what happened when I went to vote on Super Tuesday.

In short, I went to vote at my designated polling place and to my surprise Ron Paul was missing from the voting ballot. Upon mentioning this to the poll workers they proceeded to tell me several times that “He dropped out”. This was not an isolated incident but rather an epidemic of sorts. The Daily News also reported incidents of this (one is here: http://www.nydailynews.com/blogs/supertuesday/2008/02/ron-paul-backer-cries-foul-in.html).

The Ron Paul NYC headquarters was also concerned about this and said this had been happening throughout the day but my incident was one of the most blatantly offensive, being that Ron Paul was completely missing from the voting ballot.

While the Ron Paul NYC headquarters made their phone calls I contacted the Journal News who did a follow up on it and spoke to the Board of Elections who confirmed what had happened but could offer no reason as to why poll workers were telling voters that Ron Paul had “dropped out”. The Journal News has said that they will run an article on this incident.

I elaborate on the incident in the video, but the important part of this is that it should be a cause for concern for ALL voters, not just Ron Paul supporters. This was complete incompetence, negligence, or even malevolence on the part of the local Board of Elections and those across the country where this also ocurred.
