Celebrate and learn
On May 3rd and 4th, Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II joined America in celebration of its Four Hundredth anniversary: the landing at Jamestown, Virginia of the English ships Susan Constant, Discovery, and Godspeed.
The English settlers aboard outlived fear, homesickness, hunger, inclement weather and Indian attacks under the leadership of Captain John Smith. (Earlier, Captain Smith was captured by Turks invading Europe, but was able to kill three in a single hand-to-hand battle.)
Celebration of America’s 400th birthday will culminate May 13, the day of landing. Be sure to fly your Cross of St. George flags, the flag the ships flew, and your White Dragon flags, the ancient symbol of the Saxons, who parented our common Anglo-Saxon freedoms: representative government and the common law. Let your children, friends and neighbors know about how important this event is.
This is Queen Elizabeth’s second visit to Jamestown; the first was in May of 1957.Western Voices World News will cover these events, since there is currently a media blackout in the USA, compared to politically correct holidays like the Mexican Cinco de Mayo national holiday.
