Bush promises to veto “hate law”

The House of Representatives passed H.R. 1592 Thursday, with Barney Frank, the only “openly gay” Congressman, presiding. Fearful of even more damage to his already angry base, Bush has pledged a veto.

“We applaud the president’s courage in standing up for the Constitution and the principle of equal protection under the law.
