Scotland’s Immigration Burden

More “immigration benefits us” nonsense

By News Team

It is not just the English and Welsh straining to cope with the demands of immigration – particularly as far as housing, education, health, policing and employment are concerned. Today we learn that even http://www.wvwnews.net/story.php?id=2919 cities, such as Edinburgh, are struggling to cope with this nation-wrecking phenomenon.

We quote: “THE number of http://www.wvwnews.net/story.php?id=974 has forced the city council to spend £2 million on extra services in just two years.

A new report from officials has revealed that resources are being strained by the “unprecedented demand” from the influx of workers, which has led to poorer quality services. Councillors will need to identify more funds to meet the level of demand.

But council leader Jenny Dawe today said the benefits of inward migration still far outweigh the cost to the city, while officials also insisted the city’s economic success – particularly in the tourism and catering trade – relies on attracting more foreign workers. Unquote. But isn’t it strange how representatives of the pro-immigration parties are still keen to spin the yarn that immigration “is good for us” – when it patently isn’t! Perhaps what the council leader quoted actually meant is that it is good for the profit margins of cheap labour dependent companies! It would, however, have been interesting to know what the man in the Edinburgh street thought about it but – as is only too often the case in these matters – his opinion was not sought evidently!
