Swedish PM: No Connection Between Mass Migration and Rising Gang Violence

A dark psychic force of collectivized self hatred is killing Sweden.

Sweden’s left-wing Prime Minister Stefan Löfven has claimed that there’s absolutely no connection between mass migration into his country and rising gang violence.

Löfven’s comments came over the weekend on Swedish television. The Swedish PM argued that the problem of gang violence – which he admits the government ‘may have not seen coming’ – is quite real but that it’s a different kind than has been seen before, Nyheter Idag reports.

When asked by the host of the show if there was any connection between large numbers of foreigners pouring into the country in recent times and increasing gang violence, Löfven promptly rejected the idea, arguing instead that poverty and unemployment were the root cause.

“The segregation is because there is too low employment and too high unemployment in these areas. But that would have been the same regardless of who had lived there. If you put people born in Sweden under the same conditions, you would get the same result,” Löfven said.

The Social Democrat prime minister then pushed back even further, claiming that even without the 2015 migrant crisis, Sweden would be facing the same problem

“Because of the economic differences, the social injustices would have been the same,” he said.

Rising gang violence has become such a problem in Sweden that its Scandinavian neighbor to the south, recently introduced border checks on its border with Sweden.

In September, the Swedish newspaper Expressen published a survey carried out by Sydsvenskan newspaper which found that the overwhelming majority of suspects in shooting cases in Malmö, Sweden have migrant backgrounds.

The findings of Sydsvenskan’s survey mirror statistical findings from a similar investigation that was published by SVT in 2018 which found that that foreign men committed around 85 percent of the rapes in Sweden.
