Letter: Haitians Have the Right to Their Own Children

Honorable Ambassador:

A fundamental problem in North-South relations is the misguided belief that Chadian or Haitian children are better off if they are kidnapped by or purchased for re-sale/adoption to First World multiculturalists. It is wrong to steal children and it is wrong to steal them from their culture and community, no matter how much their community or culture is looked down upon by Multiculturalists.

The Haitian people have an absolute right to their own children, in spite of the demands by irresponsible people like CBS Newsreader Katie Couric (who demands that European-American Christians adopt Haitians while she refuses to adopt them) or fashionable child-buyers like Madonna. Third World children are not trophies to be displayed like an expensive handbag by Multiculturalists. The trafficking in the children of the Third World is a hate crime and should be treated as such.
The group of human traffickers arrested by Haiti deserve a fair trail and deserve to face the full measure of Haitian justice. Any solution less than full justice is a perversion of justice and reflects contempt for the Haitian people.

The Haitian people have an absolute right to be protected from human traffickers.

The Haitian people have the absolute right to their children.

Please do the right thing and prosecute these human traffickers to the full extent of the law.
