The intraparty dispute had racial overtones. One African-AmericanDemocrat, Representative Hank Johnson of Georgia [right], pointed out that theseven Blue Dog Democrats holding up the health care bill in the Energyand Commerce Committee were �a nondiverse group� of white men.
