Holder is a Coward on Rape

by John YoungUsually, I make very little mention of the differentials in crime statistics based upon race, and for good reason: European-Americans are a fair-minded people who are uncomfortable with painting people with too broad of a brush. We tend to be very individualistic and try to judge each person on his/her own merit, so most of our audience realizes that a broad statistic about a given ethnic group doesn’t justify condemning a given individual.Nevertheless, in the wake of Attorney General Eric Holder’s statements directed at European-Americans being cowardly about race; I believe that, being the Attorney General, Eric Holder is in a unique position to address one of the most serious racial issues facing our country: black-on-white rape. According to the National Crime Victim Survey and FBI Uniform Crime Reports, there are 15,400 black-on-white rapes every year. Between 2001 and 2003, 10,000 white women were victims of gang rapes committed by gangs of blacks while, during that same time period, there wasn’t even ONE instance of a gang of whites raping a black woman.(1)As Attorney General Holder seems very keen on courage when it comes to the “conversation about race,” I think it’s about time he shows us his own mettle. So, Attorney General, are you going to address the issue of the THOUSANDS of white women being raped by blacks every year? Are you going to address the issue of THOUSANDS of white women being gang raped by blacks every year? Or, Mr. Attorney General, are you a COWARD?Until you “grow a set” and address the serious problem of interracial violence that is being visited upon the European-American people by a violent minority within your own community, you have absolutely no standing to be calling my Folk “cowards.” You, Sir, are the coward.(1) Color of Crime Report, 2005
