If Mencken Could See Obama…

“The men the American people admire most extravagantly are the most daring liars; the men they detest most violently are those who try to tell them the truth. A Galileo could no more be elected President of the United States than he could be elected Pope of Rome. Both high posts are reserved for men favored by God with an extraordinary genius for swathing the bitter facts of life in bandages of soft illusion.” H.L Mencken, 1918

On January 20, 2009, America saw the largest state-approved outpouring of http://www.wvwnews.net/story.php?id=6621 “massive resistance” against the federal integration edicts of the 1950s.

After being lectured for more than a half-century that race “doesn’t matter,” and that ability and “the content of our character” should be our only measuring sticks, we were officially informed that the swearing in of Barack http://www.wvwnews.net/story.php?id=5759 Obama was a uniquely historical and hopeful moment precisely and solely because of his race. It was not the retaking of that branch of government by a Democrat, or even by a socialist, that was important — only the race of the new chief executive who pledged to “remake” America. That, of course, is just the beginning of the lies surrounding this usurper of the nation’s top job. He is not a Negro — he is a mulatto. He is not black — he is only half black. If, in fact, his father’s Muslim faith was the result of some admixture of Arab blood in the past, then Barack Obama is actually more white than black; in that case he has fewer black genes than white genes. There is still no authentic black man running the White House, and there is not likely to be in the near future unless the blessings of affirmative action make themselves felt at the ballot box by allowing voters as little “diversity” in the race of their candidates as they are permitted today in candidates’ political and racial views.
