One of the more offensive political statements in memory is now making the rounds as the Democrats pick up on the nutroots line that “Jesus was a community organizer,” in a rather weak retort to Sarah Palin mocking Barack Obama during the GOP convention.
Really,how vain can you get comparing Barack Obama, a two-bit Chicago hack, toJesus Christ? Really, are they so insane to think that’s going to winover religious voters?**Do the Democrats really think it’s a winning strategy to compare Obamawith Jesus Christ and then insinuate that anyone who criticizes him isracist?
** As far as we are concerned this was not an attempt to ‘win over’ religious voters. This was just another vector for keeping Obama’s race at the top of the discussion. Cohen knew what he was doing. As a representative to a largely black district he was also pandering because he’s not liked very well. — Ed.
