California Assemblyman wants state holiday for slain “gay icon”

Milk’s ideology and dishonest methods sparked deep resentment, and in 1978 Milk and San Francisco Mayor George Moscone were killed by a mentally unbalanced former city councilman. Despite claims that Milk was killed for being a homosexual, Moscone was “straight” and the killer, Dan White, was angry about not being allowed to sit on the Board of Supervisors. White blamed Milk and Moscone for blocking him.

Holidays are a powerful tool for social engineering, “legitimizing” agendas and allowing them to be raised in schools and other public venues. The culture war on the West sees these kinds of events being regularly used in an attempt to change public perceptions and behaviors. The effect on America of the worldview Milk stood for is striking, just looking at San Francisco as a microcosm of the larger problem. Similarly, just as San Francisco has changed in such a short period, so too America has changed, like San Francisco for the worse. Part of the reason this has happened is because the white people who built America and proclaimed its values have lost confidence in themselves. And a part of that is the result of systemic devaluation of our expressions as a people.
