Why Not China?

The ignorance of foreign affairs demonstrated by the American public is exceeded only by their ignorance of our constitution and true morality.

Homeland Security Chief and dual citizen Michael Chertoff really gave the media bosses, not to mention the normally docile American consumers, some serious grist for their talking heads on television when he said he has a “gut feeling” the United States is going to be attacked this summer by Muslim jihadists. He went on to declare that if we are attacked American businesses will suffer and the American public will no longer want to allow the southern border to remain open. Well, how’s that for a heaping dose of chutzpah; to actually state for the record that he, Michael Chertoff, and by extension Mr. Bush actually want the borders closed but we dim-witted voters would rather they remain open. I’m sure his global industry boosters understood the joke a lot quicker than the vast majority of the American public did.

As the war in Iraq continues its inexorable bloodbath, as rebellious Republicrats urge a withdrawal, as President Bush’s bottomed-out poll numbers become room temperature, and the failed immigration amnesty debacle still smolders on the horizon, is it any wonder Mr. Chertoff decided to scare the public with his gastrointestinal prophecy of an al Qaida cell lurking in the basement to take our minds off their deplorable performance of this current Wshington regime? Which is not to say we won’t be attacked, ladies and gentlemen. After all, when you try to have it both ways by leaving our borders susceptible to every biped that will work for less than minimum wage; and stepped up security measures that go so far as implicating 80-year-old grandmothers in wheelchairs at O’Hare airport as potential terror suspects, something has to give.

Anyway, I hope the United States is not attacked by these sons of hell who call themselves Muslims. But don’t hold your breath. Great Britain is still reeling from the attacks in London and Glasgow, which is to say al Qaida is alive and well; their pursuit for global Sharia Law remains without hindrance. But I started thinking: why do the Muslims wish to extinguish the United States (and Great Britain) and not someplace like, say, China? After all, why hasn’t China and its people stood in the Muslim docket accused of personifying and falling under the definition of infidels; a nation of non-believers in Islam? And even though China has a sizeable population of practicing Muslims, why do we not ever hear of any suicide squads blowing up trains or flying airliners into Beijing skyscrapers? China does fit the same general profile as the United States and in my estimation qualifies as a suitable target for jihad. But as of now, and for the foreseeable future, China has not been attacked by Muslims.

Think about it: Both China and the United States are the dominant economic powerhouses of the world to which smaller economies adjust themselves. They both have thousands of nuclear weapons capable of incinerating the earth a hundred times over. They both have technically advanced ground troops and navies which can deploy in a matter of hours to any place in the world. They both have corporate ties to the Middle East in which they generally get whatever they want. They have both trained and equipped al Qaida for their own national interests. They both aspire to global ambitions beyond their own sphere of influence. China is beginning to emulate and adapt to its own version of the West’s commercialism, from the culturally enriching to the decadent. China and the United States both have their own “sins” to contend with such as marital infidelity, abortion, pornography, homosexuality and drugs; blatant infractions in the jihadists’ eyes. So, why no Islamic threats or attacks directed against China? Here’s what I think. China has some of the most stringent immigration laws in the world, an important thing sitting as they do with their Western flank bordering the Islamic steppes. They welcome not “the huddled masses” from any and all Third World pestholes “yearning to be free,” preferring instead an overwhelmingly-homogenous population of Chinese people for China with a strict culturally reinforced code against miscegenation of any kind. A white Westerner with impeccable credentials would be strongly advised to adhere to China’s visa laws and not be stupid enough to wind up in the Chinese prison system where you can almost guarantee a living hell on earth, devoid of emotional or physical sustenance. In fact its justice system does not coddle dangerous violent criminals of any background, and a death sentence is carried out in a matter of minutes not years following the verdict. According to the United Nations and various human rights groups, China’s domestic and international record for human rights is utterly atrocious, while many average Chinese citizens think nothing of skinning alive dogs and cats for fur and meat. The government in Beijing has developed one of the most pervasive intelligence networks in the world, scrutinizing its citizenry right down to a keystroke on a personal computer in the most far-off province. It ensures that the media does not insult or demean the authorities, and allows only the most benign complaints to filter down to the public in order to appear ‘fair.’ The Chinese are an ancient and great people, with a unique social system forged by untold shared, collective experiences, some of them awful beyond belief. But at bottom the people of China have retained a sense of historical purpose, with the happiness of each at least formally subject to the well-being of all. China has experienced the kind of chaos, corruption, selfishness and outright invasion that the West is suffering now, and have learned their historical lessons.

I could go on and on but I think you get the point. Don’t mess around with China, and here in my estimation do we begin to understand why that nation has not been the target of Muslim terrorists. China exudes power, raw uncompromising power. Unlike the United States she thoroughly maintains an air of dominance without mercy, devoid of conciliation or empathy no matter what she does. Even in matters of diplomacy her approach to most problems is made of iron with a cooperative race of people, of whom the government is a direct reflection, standing by to follow orders if things don’t go their way. The Chinese people are not interested in quaint platitudes like equality and fairness; they don’t believe that morons and geniuses are the same thing, that the rich in post-Mao China are equal to the poor, that a university professor is equal to a rice farmer. However, an awakened and insulted China – such as one attacked like the United States and Great Britain were attacked by Muslim jihadists would truly be a global nightmare by exhibiting the one common denominator among her people: an oriental, ingrained savagery borne out of millenia of shared experience of an historically cohesive race. That’s why those devils who call themselves Islamic holy warriors who want a Sharia law dominated world will not attack China. There would be no place to run or hide; and once caught they would not be shipped off to a prison like Guantanamo Bay, which would make sure they are able to pray five times a day and eat the proper religious foods and obtain civil rights lawyers. No, they would justifiably suffer hard prior to being killed with typical Oriental barbarity.

Of course, I am not saying the United States is not justified in hunting down the Muslim scourge who has declared holy war on our nation. Nor am I saying that we are incapable of doing so, although Osama bin Laden still hasn’t been located and the war in Iraq is still a meat grinder. What I am saying is the Muslims understand our weaknesses and they know we are not as hard as the Chinese in terms of extended warfare; that our doctrines of fairness and multiculturalism and equality have weakened our people. They understand the Americans who claim to be ‘patriots’ are simply repeating the platitudes fed to them by the neocons on talk radio and don’t really have a grasp on the utter magnitude of preserving race and nation like they do and the Chinese do; instead believing that being able to spend and consume are the hallmarks of so-called freedom and by God all-men-are-created-equal-even-the-Muslim.

Now before anyone gets the wrong idea and thinks I am suggesting our people should strive to adapt a similar national plan like the Chinese, get a grip, okay? It goes without saying some of our people can barely tolerate the current machinations of ‘democracy’ let alone an openly totalitarian regime such as China’s. I also want it to be clear that we should abhor the cheap Chinese goods that continue to flood into our stores; goods which ought to have been made in the United States by our people no thanks to corporate greed and globalism. We are not willing to have our own living standards continue to go down, so that Chinese living standards can go up. However, the only environment the Chinese tolerate is within a group of political and social ideas which have a familiar sense of identity and a universal set of interests; standing ready to back it up for all the right reasons in the appropriate way. We at least need to take a lesson from that. Had we maintained from the birth of our nation to the present even a remotely similar posture tailored for an exclusive, tough and proud ethnically-based nation rather than a polyglot of diversity, the Muslims would be only too happy to sell us their oil and leave our people alone – like they’re doing with China right now.
