Clinton Appoints ‘Hispanic’ Campaign Chair

Naked pandering from coalition queen

Democratic Presidential hopeful Hillary Clinton has appointed lifelong Mestizo racial activist Raul Yzaguirre co-chair of her campaign. Yzaguirre released a statment praising his patrona: “Hillary Clinton has spent more than three decades advocating on behalf of those who are invisible in America. Not only is she the most experienced and qualified candidate to be president, Senator Clinton has the ability to bring people together to get results and move this country forward.”

Yzaguirre led the National Council of La Raza (NCLR — La Raza means “The Race”), a major beneficiary of foundation and corporate grants that has long pushed an open-borders agenda. Born to peons in South Texas, Yzaguirre cites early memories of “race war” between “Anglos” and Mestizos as a defining element in his political development. As an explicitly race-based organization, the support given by “mainstream” politicians to NCLR is astounding if the larger agenda at work is ignored. However, these politicians line up to address La Raza functions and seek the group’s endorsement.

While Clinton’s appointment of Yzaguirre is naked pandering for Mestizo votes, she is merely continuing the Democratic “coalition” strategy of uniting disparate interest groups and populations. She has been seriously challenged for black votes. The National Council of La Raza benefits from serious financial support from corporate sponsors like Anheuser-Busch, AT&T, ConAgra Foods, McDonalds, Chevron, Xerox and Starbucks.
