The Prime Minister is thought to be "deeply concerned"
by the continual rise of the support base of the BNP in the forthcoming
European Parliamentary elections in June.
The internal poll
conducted by the Prime Minister has projected that the BNP could take
up to 7 seats in the European elections, capitaliasing on the weakness
of UKIP with an estimated 5 per cent of the vote going to the extreme
party in the June euro-elections.
The News of the World is
projecting that the BNP will scoop up to £4 million of funds from the
EU if it was to win 7 seats in June.
Increasingly the BNP has
been winning support from working class Labour supporters and
disillusioned Conservatives who believe the party's line on immigration
is "too weak".
The London stronghold of the BNP is Barking and
Dagenham were the number of foreign workers has increased rapidly and
the BNP have made full use of this in propaganda to exploit local
people.
Success for the far right in the UK could be higher than previously
calculated. According to John Charmley and other academics &
journalists www.globalpolitics/ukfarright/9876483, the BNP could win up
to 18 seats in the European Parliament this June. The more established
UKIP is believed to lose all the 12 seats they had won five years ago.
The problem for mainstream parties, however is the more the far right
is talked about and talked up, the more chances they have of actually
winning in these sorts of figures.
