Politically Correct PHYSICS?

It has admittedly been a while since I took college physics. Back then, a 1st edition physics text by Ohanian was all the rage. Even back then a certain degree of political correctness was endemic, but it had not affected the content of books in the hard sciences. I speak from experience because my majors in Chemistry and Electrical Engineering back in the early-mid 1980's exposed me to dozens of textbooks in math and hard sciences.
Today I received from a correspondent a verbatim quote from a second-year college physics text that really took me aback at first. It only did so because I was comparing the present to the past. If, instead, I had realized that practically all college textbooks are published by the same companies that bring us brain-rot like MTV, I wouldn't have been surprised.
Here is the quote I received:
On December 1st, 1955, Rosa Parks (1913-2005), an icon of the early civil rights movement, stayed seated in her bus seat when a white man demanded it.
Police in Montgomery, Alabama, arrested her. On December 5, blacks began refusing to use all city buses. Under the leadership of the Montgomery Improvement Association, an efficient system of alternative transportation sprang up immediately, providing blacks with approximately 35,000
essential trips per day through volunteers, private taxis, carpooling, and ridesharing. The buses remained empty until they were integrated under court order on December 21, 1956.
In picking up her riders, suppose a driver in downtown Montgomery traverses four successive displacements represented by the expression

Here b represents one city block, a convenient unit of distance of uniform size; i is east; and j is north.
(a) Draw a map of the successive displacements.
(b) What total distance did she travel?
(c) Compute the magnitude and direction of her total displacement. |
This is a fairly simple problem to solve requiring little more than a pocket calculator and a basic knowledge of the precedence of arithmetic operations. But the fact that leftist commie half-truth indoctrination is showing up in PHYSICS BOOKS is a much harder problem to solve that will require lifting much heavier than my pocket calculator can perform.
Let me propose a slightly different physics problem for the good professor.
Sometime between 2009 and 2013 the majority of Americans ceased to recognize the legitimacy of the national government in response to a financial collapse orchestrated by special interests becoming so greedy they "killed the goose that laid the golden egg."
When this happened, widespread ethnic violence directed by majority-Hispanics and majority-Africans against minority-European in places like California caused the persecuted European-Americans to flee to less violent places that were still majority-European-American in order to protect their innocent children. When they arrived at these new locales, they forcibly ejected the purveyors of political correctness and "diversity" from the universities in the new locales, forcing them to move to California.
Burlington, VT is located at 44.488N latitude and -73.226W longtitude. San Francisco, CA is located at 37.767N latitude and -122.433W longtitude. Assume that a college professor more interested in political correctness than science is forced to move from Burlington to San Francisco.
a) What is the shortest distance between these two locations in km? (Don't forget your geometry. Assume the earth is a perfect sphere.) In traveling this path, what would the professor's total displacement be?
b) If the professor traveled at 3,000 m/sec, how long would the journey take?
BONUS: As the only European-American then in California, how long would the professor survive before falling victim to ethnic violence?

Ladies and gentlemen, I can't help the fact that some college professors are so stupid that they would choose physics texts that prioritize indoctrination of students to create a world in which the actual survival of the professors themselves would be doubtful. People that idiotic -- no matter their IQ -- cannot be saved from themselves.
