Preparing For The Future

Ultimately, we want to have in place a determined, unyielding force to be reckoned with who will go to the mat for the continuation of their folk…whether we live to see it or not. By Frank Roman Audio Version I’ve been getting a real kick lately over the media’s whining at the recent “revelation” that a large number of European Americans in West Virginia refused to vote for Barack Hussein Obama because of his race. They are saying that only racists aren’t voting for him. Now I find that to be pretty odd thing to say in light of the fact that blacks are voting for him in droves. The media mavens are also harping that there are places in this country where white Americans are still raised to think of black Americans as inferior. And then comes someone like Obama who has “performed off the charts” -- from Harvard Law School to the U.S. Senate and now, possibly, on to the White House. Well now, the last time I looked Mr. Obama is not only not black but mixed, he also -- by his own admission -- had to “find” his black identity when he was an activist on the streets of Chicago. Enter Reverend Wright, Trinity Church, Bill Ayers, and the weird religion known as black identity. Of course, because Mr. Obama is the exception and not the rule in terms of his race, the media is attempting to stigmatize an already degenerated electorate into feeling like “racists” because they don’t like him. You know something? If European American voters don’t want to put Barack Hussein Obama in the Oval Office because of his race that’s fine with me, as it would empower the black population into unimaginable fits of superficial revenge against “whitey.” But – these same European Americans are not as stupid as the media elites think they are. They do understand the fact that Mr. Obama is the most liberal minded, big government, tax-raising “progressive” that Washington has ever allowed to shamble out of its deepest cellars. This is another reason why blacks will continue to vote for him in droves, too.

Action Alert: Senate Committee Passes Amnesty for Illegal Agricultural Workers

Time to flex some muscle. Let's kill this insane bill. At the markup of the Iraq supplemental appropriations bill, the Senate Appropriations Committee committed an outrageous act of disrespect for our men and women in uniform and to the citizens of this country by adopting an amendment by Sen. Dianne Feinstein (D-Calif.) that gives amnesty to illegal-alien agricultural workers. The copy of the amendment obtained by NumbersUSA indicates a maximum of 1.35 million illegal aliens, plus their families, could obtain "emergency agricultural worker status" for a five-year period. However, the amendment also provides for an adjustment of status, which paves the way for permanent legalization. The committee also adopted other immigration-related amendments, including one that drastically expands the H-2B visa program for non-agricultural seasonal workers.

They talk change, but they really mean hold fast to the past and cling to hopelessness. Be sure and blame the white man. Wouldn't it be something if Michelle Obama, not the Rev. Jeremiah Wright or John McCain, were the reason Barrack Obama looses the presidency? Instead of "change," the First Lady-in-waiting is sticking with old hurts held closely by certain black communities. They are those who relish the pain suffered by their slave forefathers and mothers. They revisit, over and over, what was; hurts, carefully protected and harbored as badges of honor. None of us on this land are responsible for what happened to their kin, but they don't care. They marinate in crippling history. Why? The reasons reek of the psychology of it all. As long as struggle is someone else's fault, change is not a consideration. Very few pioneers, who wove the early foundations of this country, missed out on suffering caused by prejudice. Either they were the wrong culture, sex, skill or religion. None, however, endured the evil suffered by the Native American.

"Terror alerts" issued by watch dog groups ** Until homegrown terrorists incinerated the federal building in Oklahoma City and detonated a bomb during the Atlanta Olympics, civil rights groups and law enforcement authorities had long doubted that fringe movements could carry out such bold attacks. But today, as the Democrat Party prepares to nominate a formidable African-American as their candidate for President, federal, state and local watchdog organizations that track racist cells have issued numerous terror alerts. This has already prompted the U.S. Secret Service to bend longstanding policy and assign the Illinois Senator an around-the-clock detail. And if Obama prevails at his party’s Denver convention, unprecedented security measures are likely to continue.

Globalist meddling...again. A special U.N. human rights investigator will visit the United States this month to probe racism, an issue that has forced its way into the race to secure the Democratic Party's presidential nomination. The United Nations said Doudou Diene would meet federal and local officials, as well as lawmakers and judicial authorities during the May 19-June 6 visit. "The special rapporteur will...gather first-hand information on issues related to racism, racial discrimination, xenophobia and related intolerance," a U.N. statement said on Friday. His three-week visit, at U.S. government invitation, will cover eight cities -- Washington D.C., New York, Chicago, Omaha, Los Angeles, New Orleans, Miami and San Juan, Puerto Rico.

Obama and the Cross
He is Come! Or so many claim. Senator Barack Obama has been labeled the Messiah, or a Secular Messiah, since in many ways he is either positioning himself as a Savior of the American people, and his devotees are acting in a curious religious fashion. Especially since his Tennessee campaign motto is “Faith, Hope, Change.”
Strange no one calls him on his blatant appeal to the Christianists among us.
And I can’t help reproducing the Book of The Obamassiah, of unknown authorship (I’ve seen it by several people on different sites, though first at HotAir):
The Book of The Obamassiah
The Obamassiah shall reveal himself to us by his teachings, which will be the spoken word in the form of the finest silk and silver.

Video coming? Michelle Obama Railing Against "Whitey" in Church
Michelle Obama: Responsible for the Jeremiah Wright Fiasco?
By Larry Johnson
I now have it from four sources (three who are close to senior Republicans) that there is video dynamite–Michelle Obama railing against "whitey" at Jeremiah Wright's church. Republicans may have a lousy record when it comes to the economy and the management of the war in Iraq, but they are hell on wheels when it comes to opposition research. Someone took the chance and started reviewing the recordings from services at Jeremiah Wright's United Church of Christ. Holy smoke!!
I am told there is a clip that is being held for the fall to drop at the appropriate time. The last thing Barack and Michelle need is a new clip that raises further questions about her judgment and temperament. Here's what the Republicans are currently using in Tennessee:

Furor Over Cartoonist Arrested for Discrimination

Police Protection for "Mohammed Pulpit"
Islam's Struggle Against Cartoon Terrorism
Netherlands Justice Minister Ernst Hirsch Ballin has attracted sharp criticism from a large part of the Lower House following the surprise arrest of cartoonist Gregorius Nekschot. He is facing charges of discrimination.
The arrest took place last Tuesday. The well-known stand-up comedian Hans Teeuwen, a friend of Nekschot, said on TV programme Pauw en Witteman that around 10 police dragged the cartoonist out of his home in Amsterdam in a brutal manner. His computer and telephone were seized, according to a furious Teeuwen.
The Public Prosecutor's Office (OM) in Amsterdam confirmed that Nekschot ('Neck Shot') was arrested for the publication of cartoons that are discriminatory against Muslims and people of darker skin. The cartoonist was held for about a day and a half and interrogated twice. The OM still has to decide whether he will actually be prosecuted.
The arrest is particularly remarkable because it follows a complaint dating from 2005. Three years later, there was suddenly reason to take Nekschot by surprise in his home, said Teeuwen with incomprehension.

My "Racial Harassment" Nightmare
Selwyn Duke
The May 9 edition of the New York Post carries a short article by an Indiana University-Purdue University Indianapolis student named Keith John Sampson. He tells a story of being charged with "racial harassment" simply because he was "caught" reading an anti-Ku Klux Klan book. I'm not kidding. Sampson tells his story:
"The book was Todd Tucker's 'Notre Dame vs. the Klan: How the Fighting Irish Defeated the Ku Klux Klan'; I was reading it on break from my campus job as a janitor. The same book is in the university library...
"But that didn't stop the Affirmative Action Office of Indiana University-Purdue University Indianapolis from branding me as a detestable Klansman.
"They didn't want to hear the truth. The office ruled that my 'repeatedly reading the book...constitutes racial harassment in that you demonstrated disdain and insensitivity to your co-workers.'"

Kosher Meat Plant Sheltered Meth Lab: Claim
Not content with objectively serving the neocon war machine by dead-ending the antiwar movement, the International ANSWER Coalition (Act Now to Stop War and End Racism) joined members of Latino Movement U.S.A., Hermandad Mexicana Nacional, Federación de Clubes de Chihuahua, and Alianza Hondureña de Los Angeles at a rally to protest the immigration raid and mass arrests of illegal aliens at the AgriProcessors plant in Postville, Iowa. AgriProcessors is America's number one supplier of kosher meat, and has been accused of environmental as well as ethical abuses. The raid followed a six month investigation.
"These racist raids are crimes against the immigrant communities from small-town Iowa to Los Angeles," claimed ANSWER's Ian Thompson. "There shouldn’t be any second-class citizens. All people who labor should be recognized and treated as equal under the law. We won’t stop organizing until we achieve full rights for all undocumented people and ICE is shut down completely."

Tell the Truth. Lose Your Job
by James Edwards
Lafayette College in Easton, PA, is in an uproar over a couple of “racial incidents”:
"Students leaving a forum Wednesday night at Lafayette College said the almost two-hour discussion centered on finding ways to create a more cohesive community to prevent racial incidents such as two that recently occurred on campus.
"About 100 students and faculty members attended the closed session where college President Daniel Weiss encouraged them to talk about the problem.
"Lafayette officials are investigating the two race-related incidents and whether they are related."
And just what were these “racial incidents”? Well, the second one concerns “racist” graffiti in a campus restroom. We’re not told what the graffiti actually said, but we’ll take their. That seems like something that would certainly fall under the category of “racial incident.” But the first one? It was simply some white guys arguing with a couple black guys. I’m not exaggerating:

Full-Blooded Americans Love Their Own

It isn't necessarily racist or nativist to worry about what these new demographics mean to the larger American story. "A full-blooded American." That's how 24-year-old Josh Fry of West Virginia described his preference for John McCain over Barack Obama. His feelings aren't racist, he explained. He would just be more comfortable with "someone who is a full-blooded American as president." Whether Fry was referring to McCain's military service or Obama's Kenyan father isn't clear, but he may have hit upon something essential in this presidential race. Full-bloodedness is an old coin that's gaining currency in the new American realm. Meaning: Politics may no longer be so much about race and gender as about heritage, core values, and made-in-America. Just as we once and still have a cultural divide in this country, we now have a patriot divide. Who "gets" America? And who doesn't?

Bush Finally Speaks to the Ultimate Wartime Sacrifice

He has given up golf
With the ghosts of Washington, Lincoln, Roosevelt, and Eisenhower looking down, President Bush finally admitted today that he has been touched by the true cost of war:
For the first time, Bush revealed a personal way in which he has tried to acknowledge the sacrifice of soldiers and their families: He has given up golf.
"I don't want some mom whose son may have recently died to see the commander in chief playing golf," he said. "I feel I owe it to the families to be in solidarity as best as I can with them. And I think playing golf during a war just sends the wrong signal."
In unity and spirit with Americans who will never see a child or a parent again on account of his policies, George W. Bush made the heart-wrenching decision to take a five-year hiatus from the game. He chose to make this sacrifice several months after the invasion of Iraq.

A New Day of Infamy for a New Century
by Srdja Trifkovic
Last Sunday night, as the results of Serbia’s parliamentary elections became known, the country’s President Boris Tadic made a remarkable statement. “I warn the parties that have lost this election,” he declared, “not to play games with the will of the citizens and try to form a government that would take Serbia back to the 1990s. I will not allow any such government and I will prevent it by democratic means.” This was not just an ill-considered gaffe in the heat of the election night: on Wednesday he was at it again, criticizing attempts by his political opponents to form the government and pledging to “defend the will of the people with all democratic and legitimate means.”
The implications of Mr. Tadic’s statement are clear, and alarming:

The threats are systematic, often involve violence, and come from autonomous groups across Sweden.
Media exposure and engagement in controversial issues often increase the incidence of threats, Säpo reports.

Gypsy shanty towns burn in Naples as Italian police swoop on illegal immigrants
Richard Owen in Naples
Italian police began a nationwide round-up of nearly 400 illegal immigrants from the Balkans and North Africa today in the midst of a series of arson attacks on Roma gypsy camps in the suburbs of Naples.
The first step in a drive on crime promised by the new centre-right government of Silvio Berlusconi targeted temporary encampments on the outskirts of cities from Naples to northern Italy. Some 118 people held in the operation were ordered to be expelled immediately for offences ranging from drug dealing to prostitution.
But in Naples local people have anticipated the new policy, taking the law into their own hands.
This week’s assaults on Roma shanty towns by scores of youths on scooters wielding iron bars and throwing Molotov cocktails were sparked off by the capture of a seventeen-year-old Roma girl who last weekend entered a flat in Ponticelli and tried to steal a six-year-old baby girl. Chased by the mother and neighbours, she had to be rescued by police from being lynched.
Naples erupted in fury, with local women leading the marches on the Roma camps to the chant of “Fuori, fuori [Out, out]” and “go home, dirty child stealers”.

Kosher Meat Plant Sheltered Meth Lab: Claim

Methamphetamine lab found by officials in immigration raid, says JTA
Iowa Meatpacking Plant Raided in ID Theft Investigation
A US government immigration raid on America's top kosher meat processing plant uncovered a methamphetamine laboratory inside AgriProcessors in Postville, Iowa, according to a report carried by the Jewish Telegraph Agency. The May 12 raid, which is thought to have been one of the largest single immigration enforcement actions ever undertaken in the United States, netted at least 300 arrests. A dozen federal law enforcement agencies were involved, from the Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA) to Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE).
The warrant for the raid was based on a sixty page application constructed after an investigation of AgriProcessors lasting six months. One source for the information was, reportedly, a former plant supervisor, a legal Hispanic immigrant, who alleged that 80% of the floor employees were illegal aliens. Even some of the rabbis who supervised the kosher slaughter of livestock, a Jewish religious practice in which conscious animals have their throats cut open and are bled to death, were alleged to be working illegally. While three of those detained were Israelis alleged to be illegally employed, the vast bulk of the arrestees hailed from Latin America.

Archbishop Akinola has led opposition to the ordination of gay priests
Nigeria's Anglican leader has told the country's many Christian polygamists to give up their extra wives.
In a letter to the faithful, Archbishop Peter Akinola warned the issue could "make a mockery" of the church.
Until now, converts to Christianity have been allowed to keep their polygamous relationships.
Bishop Ali Buba Lamido told the BBC that it was difficult to convert polygamous Muslims to Christianity unless they could keep their wives.
Bishop Ali Buba of the Wusasa diocese in northern Kaduna State, said that as much as 10% of some congregations in the north can be in polygamous marriages.
Nigeria is deeply divided between the mostly Muslim north and a predominantly Christian and animist south.

Rudy Villanueva gets six years in prison after brandishing weapons, threatening cops
Florida Hispanic "gangsta" Rudy Villanueva, 31, has learned a hard lesson about the pitfalls of the new media and has been sentenced to over six years in prison.
Villanueva, who has had 16 arrests and is a convicted violent felon, posted a video on YouTube where he boasted of leading the Miami Dade "Bird Road Boys" gang. Standing alongside a companero, the macho Villanueva toyed with guns, among them an AK47 assault rifle, while making wild threats against law enforcement. "Metro Dade Gang Unit, here I am baby," he goaded, adding that "we's out here fighting a cold war" and that "they come at us if they want to. Come get some whenever you're ready."
They did. In a joint operation, members of U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement joined officers from the Miami Dade Police Department in raiding Villanueva's "crib" and seizing five weapons and an arsenal of ammunition. As a felon, Villanueva's possession of the weapons was illegal, and he pleaded guilty to that charge. In court, he displayed no bravado, claiming that the YouTube video was merely an example of his sense of humor being decontextualized.

States, locals swamp immigration program
By Daniel C. Vock
States and cities that want to speed up deportations of criminals and suspects who are illegal immigrants by using a popular but controversial federal program face waiting up to three years to join the enforcement effort, because the federal government can’t keep up with the demand.
Political pressure for stricter policing of illegal immigration has propelled the Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) agency’s 287(g) initiative from a little-noticed experiment two years ago to one of the hottest ideas for local and state officials to deal with immigration, as broader federal efforts languish.
Law enforcement ranks first as an issue in immigration-related legislation introduced on the state level as of March 2008, according to a report of the National Conference of State Legislatures.

“The Islamic convenant, the shari’ah, is perpetual, it is not negotiable and it is not terminable”
From John Laughland
An article has just attracted the attention of the spokesman for Islam, Integration and Extremism in the German Christian Democratic Union (CDU). The article is by the Grand Mufti of Bosnia-Herzegovina, Mustafa Ceric, and two things are remarkable about it at first sight. The first is its title, “The challenge of a single Muslim authority in Europe” (more on this in a moment); the second is the place of publication.
The article advocates the creation of a single global authority to regulate the religious and civil life of Muslims all over the world. It argues that the best place to start constructing such an authority is Europe itself.
The journal which has published this piece is European View, the journal of something called the Centre for European Studies, a mouthpiece of the European People’s Party (EPP), the parliamentary body in the European Parliament grouped around the German Christian Democrats. There is no doubt about the political affiliation of the journal: its editor, for instance, has an EPP e-mail address.

The enigma of Silbury Hill's origins is now over, thanks to extensive repairs of the crumbling chalk mound
Maev Kennedy
The secret of Silbury Hill, the most enigmatic prehistoric monument in Europe, isn't the monument but the monumental effort which went into building it, according to the archaeologist who has spent most of the last year slipping around on wet chalk deep in the heart of the hill.
On a sunny morning last week a local druid scattered Wiltshire grass and wild flower seed on the summit of Silbury, mark what engineers and archaeologists devoutly hope is the completion of a project to prevent the 4,500 year old hill from collapsing - 10 months and £1m over budget.
Jim Leary, archaeological director throughout the work, thinks he has solved a riddle which archaeologists have fretted over for centuries: why thousands of people piled up 35 million baskets of chalk into the largest artificial hill in Europe. It wasn't the final structure, but the staggering contribution of work which was important, he now believes, marking a site of immense but only guessable significance to the hunters and farmers of Bronze Age Wiltshire.

Will a Democratic Landslide Mean Amnesty?

Not necessarily
By Ian Jobling
With the victory of Democrat Travis Childers in Mississippi yesterday, Republicans have lost three House seats in special elections this year in districts once considered impregnably Republican.
These losses foretell a Democratic landslide in November, and Republicans are going bonkers. However, for immigration reformers, the results turn not to be so bad. Two of the three Democrats who have won sound more like Tom Tancredo than Nancy Pelosi on immigration issues. In fact, I prefer all of these new congressmen to John McCain. Essentially, the Democratic victories reflect public disgust with the Iraq War, rather than a shift to liberalism on immigration.
Childers contrasted himself to Washington establishment Democrats during his campaign. His stance on many issues, including immigration, is quite conservative:
"Now, I have to be honest. I’m a Mississippi Democrat, not a Washington, DC Democrat. I’ll be on the side of the family struggling, the child that needs health care and the teenager who’s only hope is a college degree. I’m pro-life and pro-gun. I believe marriage is between a man and a woman. And I will take a tough stand to stop illegal immigration into our country."
Don Cazayoux, who won a Louisiana seat, has stated his anti-amnesty position clear as day:
"I am strongly against amnesty for illegal immigrants. America is a nation of immigrants, but we also are a nation of laws. In Congress, I will fight to secure our borders and work to crack down on employers who knowingly hire illegal workers."

Why Do Only Whites Lose Jobs Over Racial Remarks?

Black people love affirmative action and racial shakedowns by “civil rights activists”. These keep a lot of blacks employed in jobs they’re not really qualified for, or in jobs where they’re not needed but are hired anyway to prevent lawsuits and further shakedowns. Of course, white people are supposed to pretend like none of this is happening. God forbid a white person should utter the truth about the situation out loud. Mexico’s Cartel Wars
By George Friedman
Edgar Millan Gomez was shot dead in his own home in Mexico City on May 8. Millan Gomez was the highest-ranking law enforcement officer in Mexico, responsible for overseeing most of Mexico’s counternarcotics efforts. He orchestrated the January arrest of one of the leaders of the Sinaloa cartel, Alfredo Beltran Leyva. (Several Sinaloa members have been arrested in Mexico City since the beginning of the year.) The week before, Roberto Velasco Bravo died when he was shot in the head at close range by two armed men near his home in Mexico City. He was the director of organized criminal investigations in a tactical analysis unit of the federal police. The Mexican government believes the Sinaloa drug cartel ordered the assassinations of Velasco Bravo and Millan Gomez. Combined with the assassination of other federal police officials in Mexico City, we now see a pattern of intensifying warfare in Mexico City.
The fighting also extended to the killing of the son of the Sinaloa cartel leader, Joaquin “El Chapo” Guzman Loera, who was killed outside a shopping center in Culiacan, the capital of Sinaloa state. Also killed was the son of reputed top Sinaloa money launderer Blanca Cazares Salazar in an attack carried out by 40 gunmen. According to sources, Los Zetas, the enforcement arm of the rival Gulf cartel, carried out the attack. Reports also indicate a split between Sinaloa and a resurgent Juarez cartel, which also could have been behind the Millan Gomez killing.

With the show in syndication and a lasting legacy firmly established, James Edwards and Company took a leave of absence from live broadcasting after their program on Friday, February 15. While they did enjoy a couple months of much needed rest and relaxation, it didn't take them long to realize that retirement just didn't suit them. A warrior's rightful place is on the front lines.
For all intents and purposes, you can expect the same hard hitting commentaries and star-studded guests when the show returns. It’ll be the same show with the same hosts. However, a few improvements have been made and we're confident that you'll be excited about what we've done!

American Liberty Teetering on Edge of Abyss
by Paul Craig Roberts
In a new book that will infuriate the fake conservatives who inhabit the Republican Party, Patrick J. Buchanan documents how British self-righteousness, delusion and hubris destroyed both the British Empire and Western ascendancy in two unnecessary wars launched by a small cabal of morons that ruled Britain.
Churchill, Hitler, and the Unnecessary War shows that the two world wars that destroyed European civilization began when England declared war on Germany, thus dragging in the Empire, Commonwealth and United States. This was a strategic blunder unparalleled in history. Mighty Britain emerged from World War II as an American dependency.
Buchanan cites such British notables as F.J.P. Veale, B.H. Liddell Hart and C.P. Snow to document that it was Winston Churchill who committed, in Veale’s words, “the first deliberate breach of the fundamental rule of civilized warfare that hostilities must only be waged against the enemy combatant forces.” It was Churchill, not Hitler, who first targeted civilian populations in World War II and caused the structure of civilized warfare to collapse in ruins.

Stalinist statue of Martin Luther King irks "Sinophobic" feds
Photo: Maoist Chinese artist Lei Yixin with model of statue. He says naysayers are being "racist" about Socialist Realist sculpture of "civil rights" icon MLK.
by James Edwards
Is there any part of the "civil rights" industry that isn’t corrupt? You may not be aware of this, but the feds gave $10 million dollars to a "non-profit" group to pay for the sculpting of a statue of Martin Luther King, on the condition that they had to raise a matching amount privately.
Well, the 28 foot high sculpture is nearing completion, and the feds are now investigating the group that got the money. The details aren’t real clear, but it appears that they’re concerned that some of the money was pocketed instead. One of the reasons they’re concerned is that the sculptor hired is from Communist China, where labor’s a lot cheaper than in America. The Department of Interior is also saying that they’re not happy with the design, that it looks too much like Social Realist statues from formerly communist countries in Eastern Europe, and the USSR. Which is understandable, since the sculptor (who’s now crying "racism") is a fan of Chairman Mao:

The Age of Educational Romanticism

On requiring every child to be above average.
by Charles Murray
This is the story of educational romanticism in elementary and secondary schools —its rise, its etiology, and, we have reason to hope, its approaching demise.
Educational romanticism consists of the belief that just about all children who are not doing well in school have the potential to do much better. Correlatively, educational romantics believe that the academic achievement of children is determined mainly by the opportunities they receive; that innate intellectual limits (if they exist at all) play a minor role; and that the current K-12 schools have huge room for improvement.
Educational romanticism characterizes reformers of both Left and Right, though in different ways. Educational romantics of the Left focus on race, class, and gender. It is children of color, children of poor parents, and girls whose performance is artificially depressed, and their academic achievement will blossom as soon as they are liberated from the racism, classism, and sexism embedded in American education. Those of the Right see public education as an ineffectual monopoly, and think that educational achievement will blossom when school choice liberates children from politically correct curricula and obdurate teachers’ unions.

Schoolboy Dies After Racist Stabbing
British Citizen Murdered for Bumping Stranger
The Race War Against Indigenous Britons Continues
Police tonight arrested a man in connection with the murder of Jimmy Mizen, the teenager killed in a southeast London bakery at the weekend.
Jimmy, 16, bled to death at the Three Cooks bakery in Lee after suffering a cut to his throat.
A police spokesman said: “Officers arrested a 19 year-old-man. He remains in custody in a London police station.”
Detectives revealed last night that they were hunting a suspect, aged 19. A warrant for the Turkish man’s arrest was issued to all police forces in the country. The suspect is believed to be known to the Mizen family.
Police are still trying to piece together exactly what happened in the moments before the attack that left Jimmy lying in his brother Tommy’s arms, bleeding to death on a shop floor.

"Residence Life" Movement Finally Attracts Attention

Students at the University of Delaware undergo "the treatment" on race, economics, and the environment.
EAU's Guide to Completing Your College Degree
Four Year Plan
By George Leef
Very few people knew anything about the growing “Residence Life” movement on college campuses prior to the revelations about the program at the University of Delaware last year. In brief, students there were required to participate in group and individual discussion sessions outside of regular classes. The sessions were led by Resident Assistants who had been through an intensive training program and the subject matter consisted of extremely tendentious theories -- often presented, however, as unquestionable truth -- about race, economics, the environment, and so forth.
This whole program (referred to by the university as “the treatment”) was designed by Student Affairs personnel, not faculty members. Its objective – to get students to accept a set of “politically correct” beliefs. Students who disagreed were singled out for criticism.
Delaware’s Res Life program is part of a nationwide project to turn residence halls into new educational centers on campus, not just places where students sleep and do their coursework. Simultaneously, it turns student affairs employees from lowly administrators into very influential educators with their own agenda and curriculum.

Islam's Struggle
By Richard Eden
The Foreign Office said yesterday that it was applying diplomatic pressure on Saudi Arabia to commute a sentence of 800 lashes and eight years in jail for a Briton accused of running an illegal drinking den.
Gary O'Nions, a 56-year-old businessman, was also fined £400,000 at the sentencing, which British officials did not know had taken place until the next day.
Though it would be the first reported flogging of a Briton in Saudi Arabia since 1985, it is believed that one Briton was among several Westerners flogged - with a bamboo stick - during the last year.
"We believe that corporal punishment is a violation of human rights and we have made that clear to the Saudi Arabian authorities on a number of occasions," said a Foreign Office spokesman. It has also requested that the Saudi authorities give officials prior warning of any court appearances by Britons.
O'Nions, who was born in London, is understood to be planning an appeal but he may face a harsher sentence if he does so. His family described the sentence as brutal and unfair. "I'm absolutely devastated," said his wife, Mary. "He's done nothing to warrant such an outrageous sentence.

Horatius Cocles ("Horatius the one eyed") defended the Republic of Rome single handedly from Etruscan invasion after his fellow citizens fled in panic. Lionized as a hero by Livy, Polybius and others, Horatius symbolized single minded courage and commitment to justice and truth in the face of overwhelming odds, a message as vital today as it was in the days of Rome. Macaulay's most famous poem dealt with the hero Horatius Cocles. Published in 1842 it met with immense acclaim and has become part of the Western canon.
A Lay Made About the Year Of The City CCCLX
I
Lars Porsena of Closium
By the Nine Gods he swore
That the great house of Tarquin
Should suffer wrong no more.
By the Nine Gods he swore it,
And named a trysting day,
And bade his messengers ride forth,
East and west and south and north,
To summon his array.
II
East and west and south and north
The messengers ride fast,
And tower and town and cottage
Have heard the trumpet's blast.
Shame on the false Etruscan
Who lingers in his home,
When Porsena of Clusium
Is on the march for Rome.

Untested Savior
David Brody
I have been telling Brody File readers for months that if Barack Obama becomes the Democratic nominee he will make a pitch to win over independent/moderate Evangelicals. Well, we now have evidence.
In Kentucky, he is making a direct appeal to Evangelicals with flyers that mention his conversion experience and they highlight a cross. Remember Mike Huckabee’s supposed subliminal cross in his Christmas campaign ad? Well, Obama campaign ditches the subliminal and goes for the in your face cross.
The Obama campaign has consistently believed that their candidate can compete for the “religious vote”. A lot has been made about how Obama hasn’t done as well with Catholics compared to Clinton. But let’s remember one thing: Obama has a story to tell about how Jesus came into his life. You can bet we will be hearing more details about it on the stump in the fall.
Meanwhile, John McCain won’t be partaking in the “Evangelical speak” or handing out these types of flyers in the south which makes you wonder if Huckabee could help McCain shore up the Evangelical base and at the same time play to the Independent middle with his populist streak.

Domestic Spying Far Outpaces Terrorism Prosecutions

As more Americans are watched, fewer cases are made. The trend concerns civil liberties groups as well as some lawmakers and legal experts.
Court Order? Warrant? Who Needs Them?!
How Crazy Does it Have to Get?
The Surveillance Scam
By Richard B. Schmitt
Los Angeles Times
The number of Americans being secretly wiretapped or having their financial and other records reviewed by the government has continued to increase as officials aggressively use powers approved after the Sept. 11 attacks. But the number of terrorism prosecutions ending up in court -- one measure of the effectiveness of such sleuthing -- has continued to decline, in some cases precipitously.
The trends, visible in new government data and a private analysis of Justice Department records, are worrisome to civil liberties groups and some legal scholars. They say it is further evidence that the government has compromised the privacy rights of ordinary citizens without much to show for it.
The emphasis on spy programs also is starting to give pause to some members of Congress who fear the government is investing too much in anti-terrorism programs at the expense of traditional crime-fighting. Other lawmakers are raising questions about how well the FBI is performing its counter-terrorism mission.

University of Toledo Official Fired Over Column
J. Matt Barber
The University of Toledo (UT) has sent a message — loud and clear — to potential employees and students: African-American Christians need not apply.
UT President Lloyd Jacobs has betrayed his own anti-Christian intolerance in what amounts to a prima facie violation of the U.S. Constitution, Ohio's state constitution and Title VII of the 1964 Civil Rights Act.
Recently, Jacobs, who portrays himself as a bastion of "tolerance" and "diversity," overtly and shamelessly discriminated against Crystal Dixon, a black, Christian employee, because of her constitutionally protected, factually based and popularly held viewpoint relative to — ironically — civil rights.
Dixon, who was Associate Vice President of Human Resources at UT, has been arbitrarily fired from her job because she publicly defended the integrity of African-American civil rights struggles and further expressed her sincerely held religious beliefs relative to those struggles.

Obama's Civil War
Dan Taylor
Barack Obama's failure to campaign in West Virginia past some stopping by appearances was not so much a gift to Hillary's campaign as it was a very calculated step to not show his lack of appeal to white blue collar workers. The roll over of 28 delegates to Hillary was an in your face statement that he's about to win as well as a middle finger to the residents of that state that after he wins he won't be needing them or visiting them. It is reverse racism masquerading as efficient politics.
I'm from West Virginia. I grew up there in towns like Williamson, Welch, Bluefield, and Princeton. I came back after the military to go to law school at West Virginia University. Most of my relatives still live there. While admittedly some of them have eyes that work independently of each other (they can look at you and watch a plane go overhead at the same time) they are good people.
West Virginia actually epitomizes who Barack despises. He wouldn't if they were black but because they are white working poor, it's a little bit more challenging. Not all of West Virginia lives in a mobile home and works in the coal mines. I actually started wearing shoes at age twelve but everyone since then has gotten them earlier. One of the richest families in America, Jay Rockefeller and his wife, have served the state for decades now and are loved not for their money but for the committment that is bigger than the money. Its Universities, Law and Medical Schools, and tough as nails high school football teams are worth mentioning as well. Robert Byrd is the Thomas Jefferson of the state and at an age somewhere between 100 and Mt. Rushmore, shows no signs of slowing down.

Liberalism as Addiction

Love Me, I'm a Liberal
by Chilton Williamson, Jr.
Modern liberalism, so apt to see every social pathology as a form of mental or emotional illness, invites the application of a similar perspective on itself. Whether the issue in question has to do with teenage promiscuity, adultery, prostitution, drug and alcohol abuse, kleptomania, school shootings, child abuse, gang warfare, or corruption in government (though never corporate greed, tax evasion, or white-collar crime), the liberal is always in a hurry to attribute the cause to the irrational yet irresistible impulse to antisocial behavior. But this Weltanschauung that dims and enfeebles the moral imagination is a form of mental and moral addiction, operating on the mind and soul much as cocaine or whiskey act upon the body to induce intoxicating highs in the short run and intellectual deterioration, moral laxity, and self-indulgence in the long one.
For thousands of years, Homo sapiens has resorted to drugs and alcohol to achieve gratification across a spectrum of powerful sensations, among them euphoria, the illusion of power, the transcendence of limits, and self-integration with the cosmos. Liberalism provides access to all these sensations, by ideological rather than chemical means. It is not coincidental that 20th-century liberalism, and not libertarianism, should have been inseparably associated with what originally was called “free love” and later “sexual liberation,” and with the drug culture. The libertarian idol is unfettered Action; the liberal one, Sensation—Action being subordinated to the instrumental role of promoting and supporting Sensation. What is more, for liberals, the proximate object of sensation is always oneself. That is only one of many reasons why liberalism from its beginnings has recognized in religion its foremost enemy.

Why the newcomers are putting the fear of God into the traditionalists
Might I Suggest ... Contra Dance?
Just before dawn, by an empty shingle beach, sinister figures move through the gloom. Living shadows, they're dressed all in black, their coats made from long rags, their faces obscured by paint. But their eyes burn brightly as they gather in a circle. If some poor insomniac comes walking the dog now – at 5am on a cold, damp morning – they'll get a massive fright.
"Hey-ya!" yell eight men and women as they come together with a loud clash of sticks, and what appears to be a blend of country dancing and martial arts. The dance is about sex, there's no mistaking that: one partner stands with legs straddling his stick, holding it upwards from the groin, while the other uses his own stick to bash it about. "It's so much a fertility dance that you'd have to really not know what you were looking at to miss the point," says 47-year-old Laurence Ranger, the squire (a kind of road manager) of Hunters Moon Morris.

Finding Obama guilty of insufficient devotion to Israel
Obama's Israel Problem
Obama and Israel
The Atlantic's Jeffrey Goldberg conducted what he's calling an "interview" with Barack Obama regarding Israel, but it sounded much more like an inquisition. Goldberg repeatedly demanded that Obama swear his devotion to Israel and affirm prevailing orthodoxies ("I'm curious to hear you talk about the Zionist idea. Do you believe that it has justice on its side?"; "Go to the kishke question, the gut question: the idea that if Jews know that you love them, then you can say whatever you want about Israel, but if we don't know you –- Jim Baker, Zbigniew Brzezinski –- then everything is suspect. There seems to be in some quarters, in Florida and other places, a sense that you don’t feel Jewish worry the way a senator from New York would feel it"; "Do you think that Israel is a drag on America's reputation overseas?"; "If you become President, will you denounce settlements publicly?"). Afterwards, Goldberg pronounced himself satisfied: "Obama expressed -- in twelve different ways -- his support for Israel to me."
Marty Peretz, after a telephone conversation with Obama devoted primarily to Israel, similarly clears Obama of any suspicions of disloyalty, approvingly noting that Obama "recognizes" that Israeli settlements of the West Bank are not "the core problem" for the conflict with the Palestinians (to Peretz, such settlements "are very much a side-issue"). Peretz further decrees that Obama's "exhilarating experience with American Jews and with their bonds to the dream and realities of Israel" was evident in both Goldberg's interview and in Obama's call with Peretz.

The Sanctuary Deception
By Warner Todd Huston
If you are looking for an eyerolling, maudlin Mother's Day story, you don't have to go any farther than the pages of the Washington Post to get a doosie.
You see, Ashley Surdin of the Washington Post gave us a tear-jerker of a tale about how the border fence between Mexico and the United States keeps Mothers from being with their children. Yes those mean Americans and their insistence on border security hurts Mommies. To that all I can say is, Oh brother!
In fact, the Post is even claiming that those poor Mexican Mothers can't put their fingers through that nasty, rotten fence to touch the tears on their baby girl's face because if they did they would be punished by the eeeevil U.S. government. And these poor, innocent Mommies are worried that things are getting worse because the U.S. is building "more fences."

Children better prepared for school if their parents read aloud to them
Western Culture Institute's book store has many children's titles
Young children whose parents read aloud to them have better language and literacy skills when they go to school, according to a review published online ahead of print in the Archives of Disease in Childhood.
Children who have been read aloud to are also more likely to develop a love of reading, which can be even more important than the head start in language and literacy. And the advantages they gain persist, with children who start out as poor readers in their first year of school likely to remain so.
In addition, describing pictures in the book, explaining the meaning of the story, and encouraging the child to talk about what has been read to them and to ask questions can improve their understanding of the world and their social skills.

"In other words, the more American you become, the more criminal you become."
Oklahoma long has been a "hotspot" for extremist activism, according to a national watchdog, and the latest data on the rise of such groups throughout the U.S. and in Oklahoma continue to be worrisome.
The Southern Poverty Law Center, which tracks trends in hate movements, has found that the number of documented hate groups operating in the U.S. has grown 48 percent since 2000, up to 888 last year.
The increase is attributed to illegal immigration issues and is most notable in three border states: California, Arizona and Texas.
What's more, the 888 total for the most part does not include an estimated 300 anti-immigration groups classified by SPLC as "nativist extremist," formed in the last three years to harass and intimidate immigrants.

Ghettoizing Barack
End Game
by Patrick J. Buchanan
“Give me a break. This whole thing is the biggest fairy tale I’ve ever seen.”
So said Bill Clinton in New Hampshire of Obama’s claim to have been a constant opponent of the war. Clinton cited Obama’s voting record, which was the same as Hillary’s in his early Senate years.
Yet, for this, the ex-president, designated by Toni Morrison as “our first black president,” was charged with playing the race card.
Clinton spent days explaining the “fairy tale” remark.
Came then the morning of the South Carolina primary, where Barack was rolling up a smashing victory. Bill volunteered: “Jesse Jackson won in South Carolina, twice, in ‘84 and ‘88. And he ran a good campaign, and Sen. Obama’s running a good campaign.”
That broke it. Bill Clinton was openly “playing the race card.”

Do Europeans Still Belong in Europe?
From Thomas Landen
Belgian police are protecting a 17th century pulpit in the Flemish town of Dendermonde. The pulpit in the Catholic church of Our Lady dates from 1685, two years after the battle of Vienna when the Christian armies of the Polish King John III Sobieski defeated the Turks poised to overrun Europe. The sculpted wooden pulpit, made by Mattheus van Beveren, depicts a man subdued by angels and represents the triumph of Christianity over Islam. The man is generally thought to be Mohammed. He is holding a book which is generally assumed to be the Koran.
Two years ago, on April 16, 2006, during the height of the Danish cartoon affair, this website published a photo of the pulpit to show that there is a long tradition of depicting Mohammed in European iconography. Last Friday the Turkish newspaper Yeniçag reprinted our picture on its front page with the caption “Stop this hideous insult.” Yeniçag demands that Belgium remove the pulpit. The paper writes that “We have had the crusades and now they are still trying to humiliate us. This is as bad as the Danish cartoons and Geert Wilders’s Fitna movie in the Netherlands. Even Pope Benedict does nothing to stop these humiliations.”
