Forgive me for not being a cheerful zombie, but...
A staggering number of people in today's America live a great distance from their jobs, if they even have them. This is because we grew up believing that fuel for our cars would always be available and affordable, like it was in the "good old days." So naturally two of the things our economy grew to depend on most were cheap transportation and plentiful fuel. But now we are witnessing what happens when that is no longer the case.
We were all warned about this back in the 1970's if not earlier, but few who were alive then listened and even fewer actually tried to do anything about it, and apparently most of the following generation also didn't give a hoot until it was too late.
For those who missed last night's debate between President Barack Obama and Governor Mitt Romney, please allow me to summarize the debate from the perspective of an Angry White Male.
1. They both love Israel and will fight to the death to protect Israel's territorial integrity. They don't care about the territorial integrity of the United States.
2. Neither mentioned the impeachable offense of the Obama administration allowing our personnel in Libya to be murdered despite having ample warning. Neither mentioned Obama attributing that attack to American free speech or the fact that an American is now imprisoned as a result but the terrorists are not.
The United States was intended to be a Republic rather than a Democracy. People have short memories and, quite frankly, the average person isn't smart enough to be responsible for her own governance.
Our founding fathers realized this, and therefore provided that the President be elected by electors appointed by each state, that the Senators be appointed by the legislators of each state, and that the Supreme Court be appointed by the President with the approval of the Senate. The only branch of government popularly elected would be the House of Representatives.
This was very wise. It is a lot easier to corrupt an individual Senator who requires umpteen millions of dollars for a general campaign than it is to corrupt enough members of a State legislature to secure the election of a given Senator. Furthermore, it provided specific representation of the interests of the States as sovereign entities, thereby preventing over-reach by the Federal government.
Neither EAU nor WVWNews advocates the use of illegal drugs for recreational purposes as we believe such usage to be contrary to the spirit of our statement of ethics. However, legalizing drugs would de-fund the drug cartels in Mexico and thereby dramatically reduce illegal immigration by making Mexico more livable. Plus, it would reduce government garbage like putting you on a list if you buy Sudafed(tm).

Prohibition in the US was a huge, miserable failure. During its 13-year run, beginning in 1920, Prohibition caused a massive rise in organized crime and actually increased alcohol consumption instead of curtail it.
After Prohibition’s repeal in 1933, kids didn’t start drinking in record numbers. Society didn’t collapse. Today, bathtub gin dealers don’t run amok on playgrounds; microbreweries don’t protect their turf with automatic weapons. Instead, a safe environment to drink was created when the government began regulating and taxing alcohol.
And yet, here we are in 2012, giving Prohibition another shot. For lack of a better word, that’s just stupid.
Today, instead of alcohol prohibition, we’ve got the government’s harmful attempt to prohibit marijuana use. With record federal deficits and states teetering on the edge of bankruptcy, why do we insist on dumping billions of tax dollars into another failed prohibition that is accomplishing nothing other than making criminals out of millions of regular citizens and fueling drug cartels that threaten our security?
Last year, 800,000 people were arrested in the United States for crimes associated with marijuana – and marijuana alone. It’s insane to arrest people for choosing to use a natural substance that is, by any objective standard, less harmful than alcohol, a drug that is advertised at every major sporting event. Think of the strain and costs to our law enforcement, court system and prisons. And for what? Is marijuana use decreasing? No. Are cartels any less powerful and violent? I’m afraid not. Is pot difficult for minors to obtain? Nope. In fact, when polled, kids say it’s easier to get marijuana than it is to get alcohol. Why? It’s simple. Black market dealers don’t ID.
And yet we go around and around … trying the same methods and always getting the same terrible results. Isn’t it time to try something different?
In 1999, when I was governor of New Mexico, I began advocating for marijuana legalization. At the time, there were precious few high-ranking elected officials willing to stick out their necks for this issue. It was considered political suicide.
Today, polls in the US show that at least 50% of Americans are now open to the idea or fully supportive of legalizing marijuana. My experience is that, the more people look at the drug issue, the more they recognize that the “war on drugs” is a dismal and expensive failure. It’s costing more than an absurd sum of money; it’s costing people their future.
Though you will occasionally find an outlier among Asians and Africans, it is only Europeans who create a sufficient proportion of persons of Free Will and independent thought who will vote for "none of the above" to actually make a difference in outcomes.
Observing polls, one thing that has always struck me is how a competent polling firm such as Zogby or Rasmussen can poll a very small sample and give results that predict the outcome of an entire voting population within 3%.
They do this by limiting their sample to people with a history of voting who plan to vote in the upcoming election, and then weighting the demographics of that sample to match the broad race/sex/age/marital status demography of voters. With this relatively simple technique, the results can be extrapolated with astonishing accuracy.
If you consider the fact that both major political parties, though spouting different rhetoric, hardly disagree at all on what they actually implement -- and rarely implement anything that is in the long-term best interests of any demographic -- the fact that polls of a few hundred or a few thousand people can be extrapolated so accurately brings one important fact to the fore and raises an important question. The important fact is this: demography IS destiny. It can be nothing else as it is such an accurate predictor of decisions.
For over three years countless European American activists and government insiders have warned about the high probability that America will devolve into massive civil unrest, whether Barack Obama wins or loses the November election. Now, three years later, it is emerging that more and more of the white American public is beginning to see how likely this scenario could play out.
America is on the verge of fragmentation and civil conflict because
its citizens have lost control of their government and lost faith in its
political institutions.
Nineteenth century political satirist Ambrose Bierce once described
Washington D.C. as a strife of interests masquerading as a contest of
principles and the conduct of public affairs for private advantage.
Indeed. Not much has changed one hundred years on.
The August 27, 2012 Rasmussen Reports national telephone survey finds that just eight percent (8%) of likely voters think that the US Congress is doing a good job.
People at the extremes are happier than political moderates.
Who is happier about life — liberals or conservatives? The answer might seem straightforward. After all, there is an entire academic literature in the social sciences dedicated to showing conservatives as naturally authoritarian, dogmatic, intolerant of ambiguity, fearful of threat and loss, low in self-esteem and uncomfortable with complex modes of thinking. And it was the candidate Barack Obama in 2008 who infamously labeled blue-collar voters “bitter,” as they “cling to guns or religion.” Obviously, liberals must be happier, right?
Spineless: “The home secretary will seek to exclude an individual if she considers that his or her presence in the UK is not conducive to the public good.”
“…Mr Larkin held a class intended to teach how to “maim and kill in self-defence.”
“I am not advocating that the UK should be like the US. What I am advocating is that the UK should go back to laws it had, prior to 1920.”
Well, it seems to me that this ex-Navy SEAL’s problems may be little more than a matter of public relations; in the U.K. and Canada, it is much better to say that you will teach people how to defend themselves against an attacker, than to say that you will teach people how to maim and kill an attacker. The latter might be acceptable in the States, but it has no positive application elsewhere.
Since when is it considered pollution or even "fascist" to wish to preserve and advance ones own people? When they are white, of course.
They may not have claimed ultimate victory, but
the biggest winners of the elections in France and Greece were the
parties of the extreme right. Fringe parties, some of them routinely
labelled "neo-Fascist" until recently, have made stunning inroads into
mainstream European politics, to the point that in France, Norway,
Finland, Hungary and Austria they either hold or threaten to hold the
balance of power. Governments are increasingly faced with the choice of
either giving ground on hot-button issues such as immigration and Islam,
or ceding power.
Couple met and married within a month and stayed together for 65 years... only to be parted after home invader beat wife to death. (And yet all we've been hearing about is Trayvon Martin)
"All you have to do is walk through there to see that there is an underlying ideology and it's handed out in pamphlets and newspapers." To make his point, he presented what he called a "propaganda sheet" that he had gotten during his visit to Zuccotti Park over the weekend. "It says, 'Marx Was Right,'" Gasparino noted. "And they're not talking about Groucho Marx, by the way."
The good
news in all this is that lies - all lies - have a limited lifespan before they, and
their pimps, are revealed, rejected and reviled.

It's more than happenstance that the news media has chosen to
cover the occupation of Wall Street with a different perspective than
they do when the Tea Party makes an appearance.
There were some shreds of liberty to be found in the Tea Party
movement, such as their concern with the size and overreach of
government. But after looking at the movement through a critical lens, one
clearly sees TP backers who are pro-corporation and pro big military complex, thus
in the end, just more big government pimps after all.
And of course the media, most
especially Faux News, aligned with the 'military government complex',
the Koch brothers and anything Republican, (materialistic values, pseudo prosperity, churchianity), had an endless line of talking heads broadcasting their so called "conservative" values by
continually propping up the sheeple; those who have no better idea of
liberty than what the government and the media manipulators tell
them it is. All in all, the entire movement is nothing more than an
organized effort by big money elitists to 'demigod' a black President and the so-called Left, but with the assertion that the President and the Left are the sole owners of egregious faults.
If nothing else, Breivik has certainly pointed his finger at some of the most egregious enemies of the legitimate interests of European peoples and their cultures.
The section of Anders Breivik’s 2083: A European Declaration of Independence titled “The great Satan, his cult and the Jews” focuses on Jewish issues. He is unsparing in his criticism of Hitler (the “great Satan”) and the National Socialists, blaming their defeat in WWII for the rise of multiculturalism and European self-immolation.
He makes a strong distinction between conservative Jewish nationalists and liberal Jews, arguing that only the former are opposed to the interests of Europeans. Like several other important European rightists, he expresses strong support for Jewish nationalism, arguing that Hitler should have cooperated in creating a Jewish homeland in the Middle East and deporting the German Jews there.
“The deportation of the Jews from Germany wouldn’t be popular but eventually, the Jewish people would regard Hitler as a hero because he returned the Holy land to them.”
Shall we gather strength by irresolution and inaction? Shall we acquire the means of effectual resistance by lying supinely on our backs, and hugging the delusive phantom of hope, until our enemies shall have bound us hand and foot? --Patrick Henry
"I would not look forward to a time when there is no white race." - David Yeagley
"Fifty years from now, there won't even be any white people!" said my pathological Middle Eastern neighbor. He knew I was an American Indian, and he expected me to dance in his vision.
I didn't. I found his attitude, and that of his angry black wife, repulsive. I don't appreciate being presumed upon or being dictated to in any matter, especially in the matter of race. Nobody tells this Indian how to think. I'm free to like and dislike whomever I please, for whatever reasons I choose.
I was noticing that the price of gold today is a tad over $1,400 per ounce. I know a lot of people are interested in buying gold, but I want to give you some alternative ideas.
True, gold tends to be a hedge against inflation, maintaining its value in real terms. But this maintenance of value assumes a fully functioning economy. Without a fully-functioning economy in which gold can be exchanged for dollars or other currency ... what is it's intrinsic value? You can't eat it, drink it, heat your home with it, defend your family with it or fertilize your garden with it. Well, maybe, because it is heavy, you could weight a club with it. And if you are a dentist you could use it to make fillings. If you are an angler, you could use it to make fishing weights. If you are a jeweler you could use it to make pretty baubles.
But the reality is that gold is not a very useful item in anything less than a fully functioning economy. If all the roads leading into your town were shut down tomorrow and would remain so for the next 5 years; gold wouldn't be worth much unless everyone agreed to use it as a currency. Instead, goods and services that enhanced other's productivity, sustained them, and added value to their lives would have value. A ham radio would have value for communication, a rifle would have value for hunting and defense, an ax would have value for myriad purposes.
So, what can you do with $1,400 to enhance your wellbeing instead of buying an ounce of gold?
"...Judge Jones understated the truth, for we in Europe have gone beyond the point where the truth is merely no defence against race hate charges, the truth itself is now the crime."
Last Thursday a court in Vienna found lecturer and human rights activist Elisabeth Sabaditsch-Wolff guilty of one count of “denigration of religious beliefs of a legally recognized religion” and she was fined the sum of €480. A relatively small sum, but she now has a hate crime conviction against her name.
Sabaditsch-Wolff's crime was to state, at a series of seminars about political Islam, that the Prophet Mohamed had sex with a child, his nine year old wife Aisha. Although acquitted of the more serious charge of inciting racial hatred, she was also convicted of being a “serial offender” despite this being her first offence.
Elizabeth is a regular writer at the Gates of Vienna who have written extensively about her case, links to their various articles can be found here, meanwhile American writer Diana West who runs the Death of the Grown Up blog has addressed the case in a recent posting “Willkomen to the Caliphate”, where she effectively argues that the conviction was in fact on the basis of Sharia law, not European law or what still passes for Austrian law.
