White House, Media Owe Preppers and Survivalists Apology in Wake of Sandy
|
Report; Posted on: 2012-11-04 15:50:09 [ Print / Instant Flyer |
|
In the wake of superstorm Sandy, preppers are the new prophets. Those who failed to prepare are the new homeless.
For as long as we can all remember, preppers and survivalists have been derided by the mainstream media, labeled "kooks" and "wing nuts" for stockpiling food, water, ammunition, medical supplies and emergency gear. Only paranoid conspiracy theorists engage in evil preparedness activities, we were told by the sellout mainstream media, and they've convinced many that preppers may even be terrorists.

She said 'they' poured flammable fluid on her and set her on fire for wearing an Obama t-shirt.
Two days after multiple law enforcement agencies began an investigation
into the attack and burning of a Winnsboro woman at Civitan Park,
authorities now believe the wounds were self-inflicted.
According
to Winnsboro Police Chief Lester Thomas, evidenced gathered at the
scene of the incident shows 20-year-old Sharmeka Moffitt's initial
claims that she was attacked and set on fire turned out to be false
claims made up by Moffitt.

People Aren't Smart Enough for Democracy to Flourish, Scientists Say
|
Report; Posted on: 2012-10-18 17:29:23 [ Print / Instant Flyer |
|
In our current age of media represented special interests, political correctness and substandard education is it any wonder those who exploit the levers of power did not see this very outcome? Moreover, where in the founding documents does it say the United States is a democracy?~Ed.
The democratic process relies on the assumption that citizens (the majority of them, at least) can recognize the best political candidate, or best policy idea, when they see it. But a growing body of research has revealed an unfortunate aspect of the human psyche that would seem to disprove this notion, and imply instead that democratic elections produce mediocre leadership and policies.
The research, led by David Dunning, a psychologist at Cornell University, shows that incompetent people are inherently unable to judge the competence of other people, or the quality of those people's ideas. For example, if people lack expertise on tax reform, it is very difficult for them to identify the candidates who are actual experts. They simply lack the mental tools needed to make meaningful judgments.

Might the EU Crisis Get Really, REALLY Ugly?
|
Report; Posted on: 2012-10-11 16:48:42 [ Print / Instant Flyer |
|
Do the Swiss know something the rest of us don’t?
Ueli Maurer, the Swiss defense minister, has been making coy statements about the European crisis getting ugly – as in really ugly, like needing armed troops to deal with it. This sounds more like Greece, where the rioting is regular and increasingly scary, than anything in Central Europe, but where the whole EU furball is headed does seem less than clear of late.
The Swiss are famous for preparing for everything and having an absolutely huge army, relative to their population, to deal with any eventuality. They maintain their special military system, based on training for nearly the whole male population but a very small active duty cadre (plus a few, tiny UN peacekeeping-type missions abroad, since the Swiss have an actually defensive defense force): the Swiss can call up over 200,000 trained troops, which is but one-third of what was on-call twenty years ago –

John Derbyshire On The First Debate
|
Report; Posted on: 2012-10-04 17:06:22 [ Print / Instant Flyer |
|
The National Question. Not mentioned. Not a word. Immigration? Citizenship? Refugees? Borders? Quotas? Not a peep. Presumably at least some of this will come up in later debates. If not, the debates are an utter swindle.
With Peter Brimelow and James Fulford on the road for an immigration event, it has fallen to me to write up last night's Obama-Romney debate.
As an ordinary sane citizen, not much interested in politics, I brought considerable anxiety to the task. I knew the debate would be wonkish and conducted within very narrow boundaries. I'm not a wonk, and have a low threshold of boredom.
I vaguely thought I should do some debate preparation myself ─ try to raise my political libido some; but all I actually did was browse the election issue of Mad magazine while waiting for a train at Penn Station.

First Audit Results In The Federal Reserve's 100 Year History
|
Report; Posted on: 2012-09-01 21:52:04 [ Print / Instant Flyer |
|
When you have conservative Republican stalwarts like Jim DeMint(R-SC)
and Ron Paul(R-TX) as well as self identified Democratic socialists like
Bernie Sanders all fighting against the Federal Reserve, you know that
it is no longer an issue of Right versus Left.
Rep. Ron Paul (R-Tex.) wins (again) the most significant victory of
his congressional career. He has taken his pet issue since the 1970s–the
unwarranted power and secrecy of the Federal Reserve–from something
pretty much no one but him cared about six years ago, through a bestselling book and
mass movement by 2009, the second time he’s gotten the House of
Representatives to vote to widen the government’s powers to audit the
Fed’s activities.
Huffington Post with details about the vote , and on Paul’s Democratic ally equally upset with the Fed’s lack of transparency, Rep. Dennis Kucinich (D-Ohio):

Hot Mic Catches Republican Praising Censorship of Ron Paul

The One Party Establishment hates Ron Paul's message of freedom from government tyranny, freedom of association and financial independence. Video below.
During a roll call of states at the Republican National Convention
yesterday, an attendee was caught on a hot mic praising the moment where
Ron Paul’s delegate result was accidentally censored as a result of an
audio failure. As representatives of Georgia read out their delegate
results, Ron Paul’s name and result was lost as a result of a microphone
failure.
“Well done! Whoever controlled the microphone did a
great job,” one of the RNC attendees standing nearby was caught saying
as others around him snickered.

Suspect is black, and possibly gay.
A suspect in the shooting of a security guard at the
headquarters of a downtown D.C. conservative Christian lobbying firm
criticized the group's anti-gay stance before opening fire, a source
tells ABC7.
The shooting took place at the offices of the Family Research
Council, which is located at 801 G Street, about a block west of the
Verizon Center.
A source tells ABC7's Scott Thuman that the suspect is Floyd Corkin, 28, of Virginia.

Study: Psychology Professors Admit To Anti-Conservative Bias

|
Once again, the so-called 'extremists' were right.
A new study revealed that many professors in the social psychology
field allow their anti-conservative bias to influence things like grant
making and acceptance of papers. According to the (yet unpublished) study:
"Just over 37 percent of those surveyed said that, given
equally qualified candidates for a job, they would support the hiring of
a liberal candidate over a conservative candidate. Smaller percentages
agreed that a “conservative perspective” would negatively influence
their odds of supporting a paper for inclusion in a journal or a
proposal for a grant." (The final version of the paper is not yet
available, but an early version may be found on the website of the Social Science Research Network.)

documented support of anti-gay Christian organizations, officials for
the fast food chain have remained mostly tight-lipped about the
controversy -- until now.

Chick-fil-A President Dan Cathy -- the son of company founder S. Truett
Cathy -- addresses what the publication describes as his franchise's
"support of the traditional family."
Cathy's somewhat glib response: "Well, guilty as charged."

Britain Ruled by Political Correctness

Those who support, defend, and impose political correctness are the bane of all of humanity, and must be vigorously excised from our society without mercy.
Nine Muslim men were found guilty of raping dozens of British children. The three month trial revealed that police and social workers had repeatedly refused to investigate; they were afraid of being called racist.
A three-month trial that recently ended in Liverpool, where nine Muslim men were found guilty of raping dozens of British children, revealed that police and social workers in northern England repeatedly refuse to investigate Muslim pedophile gangs: they said they are afraid of being called racist.
The disturbing details that emerged during the trial have opened yet another chapter in a long-running debate about multiculturalism in Britain, where many say that political correctness has gone too far.

Romney to release more of his tax returns, claiming it is what the

Paul told Politico in
a candid interview that he isn’t sure why Romney hasn’t released his
tax returns yet but says that it would be good for Romney if he did so,
peppering in his usual lamenting about the bipartisan nature of both
parties.

Calls to Destroy Egypt's Great Pyramids Begin

This is not a joke. We're talking about Muslims who are now in charge of "liberated" Egypt.
According to several reports in the Arabic media, prominent Muslim clerics have begun to call for the demolition of Egypt's Great Pyramids—or, in the words of Saudi Sheikh Ali bin Said al-Rabi'i, those "symbols of paganism," which Egypt's Salafi party has long planned to cover with wax. Most recently, Bahrain's "Sheikh of Sunni Sheikhs" and President of National Unity, Abd al-Latif al-Mahmoud, called on Egypt's new president, Muhammad Morsi, to "destroy the Pyramids and accomplish what Amr bin al-As could not."

The religion of peace states its case.
A Muslim group has released its plan to “wipe Christianity from the face of the earth,” Islamize the West and establish an Islamic system of world government – placing those who resist “under a police state.”
The 23-page booklet, “The Global Islamic Civilization: The Power of a Nation Revived,” is the brainchild of the United Muslim Nations International, a group led by Sheik Farook al-Mohammedi. The document outlines a plan for Muslim world domination and the re-establishment of the Caliphate.
